All grown up but still living at home. Willow followed her fathers footsteps and pursued a career of criminal law. Finishing law school, she was excited to spend more time with her high school sweetheart.. however, she finds a surprise that wasn't the diamond she had been hoping for.. deciding to move out and into her own apartment, vowing never to fall in love again, she wants to just have fun... and then she meets him.

Cocky, arrogant and on the opposite side of the court room, he's a real charmer when it comes to convincing a jury.. until he meets her.

I just got off the phone to my friend when I noticed him walking out of my dads office. I had been swearing tears the entire time. I think the whole office went silent waiting to hear a gun shot or massive brawl but there was no yelling which surprised me. As he walked into my office I stood grabbing my bag “so, change of plans for lunch. My friend just had her first baby and I need to pick out a gift to take after work.” I closed my door and lowered my voice as I slid my arms around his waist and pushed myself against his front “is everything ok? My dad didn’t scare you off did he?”

I smiled shaking my head “your dad is sweetheart” i grinned “he threatened me without really threatenning me” i leaned my forehead on hers and smiled “come on let’s get moving”

[melbender]

“My dad shouldn’t scare you, my mum will be the one to make the threats while smiling.” I laughed grabbing my handbag and slinging it over my shoulder. “So how’s your day been so far?” I asked as we sat in a cafe and ordered lunch.

[Demona]

“It’s been good. There’s a new case i’m not sure about but i might just take it. What about you? Excited to go see your friend?”

[melbender]

“Yes very.” I smiled. “Shes just had her 3rd kid and I’m their godmother so pretty excited to meet the new one.” I then frowned slightly, “Oh you don’t always take your cases? I just get whatever dad lets me have.”

[Demona]

“No i don’t. I study the case first, if i believe there’s a minimum chance of me loosing i don’t take it” i chuckled “i know how that sounds, but someimes i make exceptions if i really believe in my client”

[melbender]

I laughed rolling my eyes “oh god so you don’t want to risk your winning streak, smart but that’ll bite you on the ass one day.”

[Demona]

“Oh i lost a couple times. Every lawyer looses once in a while. I’m not scared of loosing, i just don’t like giving false hopes”

[melbender]

I fought the urge to say you gave me false hope but kept my mouth shut. “Do you want kids?” I instead blurted. “I mean one day, years from now..”

[Demona]

“Of course, i love kids. Don’t you?” Our food came and i started eating “mmm this is good”

[melbender]

I didn’t except that. “I don’t know if you realise, but I come from a huge family, i think children are definitely on the cards one day maybe.” I nodded in agreement about the food.

[Demona]

“I was thinking, maybe we could bail on work and go back to my place?”

[melbender]

“You want to skip work? You’re so bad.” I grinned “fine, but after i grab a gift, I’ll drive to yours so I can leave later on”

[Demona]

“Deal. But..do you really have to leave?” I smiled “anyway you won’t be wanting to leave”

[melbender]

“How about I just leave for an hour then maybe I’ll come back. You can warm up that hot tub on your deck.” I wiggled my brows “or you could come with me.”

[Demona]

“Come with you see your friend?” I thought about it and smiled “you already want to introduce me to your friends? That’s sweet. Okay i’ll go with you and then imm not letting you leave. So we better go by your house and get a bag of clothes”

[melbender]

I felt my cheeks blush, listening his comment. “Maybe I just want to show you off, make all my friends jealous that I’m dating the hottest man alive.” I put my fork down and took the tab to go up and pay at the counter.

[Demona]

i watched her go and smiled shaking my head.

“It’s already taken care of Miss.” The woman smiled at her and looked at Hunter nodding.

Hunter got up and followed Willow “come on we have some shopping to do”

“I can pay for lunch.” I said rolling my eyes “and when did you have time to pay, you didn’t speak to anyone.” I pointed up to a small children’s boutique to go into.

[Demona]

“I didn’t pay, you kind of chose to eat in my restaurant. Not my fault. And i know you can pay for lunch” i stopped her from walking and held her gaze “but when you’re with me you don’t need to pay because i don’t like it. Deal?”

[melbender]

“We’ll see. I can’t make any promises.” I just winked back. “And what else do you own? Any other businesses?”

[Demona]

I scratched the back of my head “umm yes, but, i don’t run them. I have no time, i have someone in charge of running everything”

[melbender]

“What other businesses are they?” I asked looking at a small pink romper and little hat.

[Demona]

“A hotel, i donmt know if you heard of it. It’s called the Black, i have it in many areas in the USA. And there’s a nightclub too...”

[melbender]

“Oh cool.” He reminded me of my pop but without the dominant persona. “I haven’t heard of it but I don’t get out much, I’ll have to go nightclubbing one weekend and let you know what I think of it.”
