"Huh" i pulled away smiling as i ran a hand through my hair "so he... your brother killed our son". I started nodding my head "good all is good, i'm not mad i'm not" i started telling myself convincing myself i was ok "so euh yeah come on let's get out to the garden and start digging those wholes yeah?"

“Mason.” I reached for his hand “they don’t know what happened, they said I was under so much stress.. that my body couldn’t keep him alive. I killed our son. I couldn’t protect him.”

I looked down and back up at her "no you didn't. He punched your belly, you were pregnant. He killed our son not you and i won't ever forgive him for it lily"

“What are you going to do?” I was almost afraid to ask. “You won’t do anything.. right?” Grabbed a tissue wiping away the tears. “Dad doesn’t even know.”

"Well maybe he should! He keep saying i'm bad for you and i'm ruining your life, he's so consumed with his issues with me that he doesn't even see how much his son treats you badly!"

“He knows we fight” I blinked back the tears. “But my dad treats me the same, I’m the one who married the guy they all hate and they’ll never change their opinions of you or us being together. Noah even said the kids were better off without you as a father after you died, to them! Do you know how much their hearts broke when I had to say daddy wasn’t coming home, that he had died and was now in heaven.. it fucking hurt Mason. It killed me but it broke them two kids out there.” I walked away to the window watching the kids. “They still see me as the one who can’t do anything except go back to you over and over again. To keep choosing you but what else can I do? I cannot life without you. I tried to move on and my heart wouldn’t let me. It’s you. It’s always going to be you.. This is why I don’t want to go back. I’m so happy here with you, our kids and the little twins on the way. With all the millions of dollars we have, I’d rather live a simple life knowing my children are being raised well and loved, than go back there to misery, drama and have them constantly complain or throw jabs about you.” I looked at him and took his face in my hands “I choose you and I will always choose you because you love me, you protect me and you’re a damn wonderful father. What Noah done.. you know that whatever you do, I will always have your back.”

I nodded and hugged her blinking the tears away "it's just that if it wasn't for me you wouldn't have went through all this lily." I sighed pulling away and holding her gaze "for now we're staying here, but if i ever see your brother again i... damn i don't even know what i can do to him" i held her hands in mine "let's remarry here, like you said. How about in two weeks? We'll have everything ready by then, and i'll help you with every detail"

“I would love that more than anything, it doesn’t need to be anything fancy. Just us on the beach somewhere with our kids” I held him close and tight. “I love you so much.”

Two weeks later we were on the beach reading our vows, there was really no one just us and the kids and the pastor along with a photographer. Once we finished, i knelt down in front of her and kissed her belly that was now showing "i love you Lily Tyler"

Steven stopped walking and held Ally's hand "is she?" He looked at mason kissing Lily's belly and gasped "she's pregnant and she didn't even tell us"

Ally just stared as a man was with them who started to shake masons hand as another photographed the 4 of them together and some of just the two. . “She’s pregnant” she repeated and looked at Steven with more hurt than she wanted to show “our daughter is pregnant because of what Noah and you said to her. This isn’t a grudge Steven, she’s serious and obviously they have just remarried..”

I threw my arms around mason again as his hand went to my stomach “I swear they kicked the entire time” I smiled brightly. “I’m so happy, we should go take the kids out for icecream. Or put a movie on for them and consummate this marriage.” I winked kissing him. “God I’m so happy to be all yours.”

I hugged her and cupped her face kissing her softly "we can do whatever you want to do my love"

Steven said nothing he just waited until the photographer and the other man left before walking up to them with Ally's hand on his. "Lily..." he called her softly.

“Make love-“ my smile immediately faded and eyes went wide as my grip on masons arm tightened. I looked up at my parents and instinctively moved closer to Mason “what are you doing here?” I asked with a shaky voice.

"We came here to see you Lily, we miss you and we love you and we want you to come back home with us"

I wraped and arm around her "i think..." i looked down at her "i think we'll stay here until she delivers at least. Away from the drama and the stress"

“We didn’t know you were pregnant.” Ally interjected. “We’re you planning on telling us? You haven’t spoken to us. We’ve been worried. I’ve been worried!”

“honestly I didn’t want to tell you we were pregnant again. What’s the point, you all made it clear how you felt about more children.” I shrugged, “and masons right, I need to keep this pregnancy stress free and being here is exactly how it’s been since we came over.”

I bit my lip tightening my grip on lily "last time she was pregnant you let your son kill our baby. She's your daughter yes, but she's my wife and i have a right to make decisions for her if she lets me. And lily trusts me to keep her safe more than she trusts you..." i looked at Ally "she misses you a lot, she wakes up crying at night just because she wants to see you, but she doesn't want to go back. You're worried? Well she's scared"

Steven kept looking from Mason to Lily "i can't believe this, noah didn't kill the baby mason!"

"He did. He killed my son. And i suggest you lower your tone steven"

“Of course you always defend Noah. You jump to his defence. He snorts cocaine and went on a drug bender but he’s forgiven.. he slept with our aunt, but of course you forgive him.. he hits his girlfriend and it’s still no big deal. Mason has never once laid a hand on me. He’s the only man I’ve ever been with and he is a devoted father.. yet you hate him and forbid the relationship. what happened to him wasn’t his fault. But you will hate him.” I glared “and the day I went into labour, Noah and I had a fight outside on the balcony and he punched me in the stomach.” I placed a hand protectively over my stomach “I will not loose these babies.”

“You’re pregnant with twins?” Was all Ally could ask. “Oh Lily, please come home so I can help you.”

I looked at my dad “I’m sorry I’m your biggest disappointment. You make that clear and if I could, I’d never come back there again.”

"Lily i didn't know... i didn't know. You should have told me..." steven got closer and extended a hand to her nut mason slapped his hand away.

"Just leave us alone, you caused us enough pain and damage"

"See? See why i hate him? He took you from me, my baby girl he took you away when you were so young and innocent. And now he's taking you from your family, is that what you want? He's just a jerk lily and i'm sure if the CIA knocks on his door again he'll leave you all without thinking twice about it!"

Without even thinking mason had let go of Lily and launched at steven holding him by the collar and easily slamming him on the sand "i didn't take her from you you piece of shit you drove her away! Can't you see that?! I've always respected you because you are my father in law but enough is enough. You hear me steven? Stay out of our lives! You don't get to disown her and then come back waltzing into her life to hurt her even more!"

Steven got to his feet and punched mason on the jaw only to be punched back as hard

Ally was shocked that mason had hit him back. She noticed the kids watching on and took Willows hand “come on, let’s go up to the house. I want to see your rooms.” She said taking Nate also.

“Dad!” Lily shouted “are you kidding me! And don’t say I should have told you, you should have known! You said I was being dramatic but did you ever think to check the security tapes and watch what happened for yourself. I’m sure mason wants to see them.” I shook my head as tears spilled “he didn’t take me away, he gave me a life.” I turned and walked up to the house.

Steven got on his feet watching her go and wiped his lip "you just punched me?"

"Yes i did" mason sat on the sand looking ahead "you deserved it steven. You hate me, i don't get why, you used to be someone i looked up to" he shrugged "i can't think of anything to show you how much i love lily and what i would do to protect her. But i need you to know that you are hurting her, a lot. And the best way to fix that is.."

"How? I don't think she'll give me another chance"

"She can give you one, but we need to be on the same page. Instead of being hard on her cut her some slacks, she's a great mother and has a great heart, she's sensitive. Show her how much you love her instead of being always strict and judging. And we have to put our issues behind steven, we're having twins, and i don't want them to grow up in a family where their father and grandpa don't get along. If you can do all that... i don't see why she wouldn't want you back in her life"

“You’ve some so much” ally pointed out as she looked out to the yard. “It looks great.”

I smile opening a jar of salsa and a packet of corn chips “thanks. We planted them a couple weeks ago, the kids even helped. I’ve had so much energy this pregnancy, but always hungry.”

Ally spotted Steven and mason walking up to the house, hoping thugs were sorted out. “Your father and I will go check in at the hotel-“

Half rolling my eyes at that I shook my head “we have a spare room you can stay in while you’re here.”

Mason smiled "of course you'll stay with us. The kids will love that" he leaned in kissing Ally's cheek. "It's nice to see you we really missed you".

Steven sighed "lily... can we talk alone please?"

Mason looked at her nodding. He took Ally's hand "let me show you some plans we're working on" he winked at Steven and walked out.

I took my chips and salsa to the sun room, sitting down and staring out to the ocean “what do you want to talk about?” I asked slightly curious, I wanted to comment on his fat lip but said nothing.

Steven took her hand in his "i'm sorry. I know those words can't make up for what i did. But i need you to know that i love you lily, and if being in your life means putting my differences with your husband aside i will. I just want to be in yours and the kids lives, and the twins too. Your mother and I will stay here...i mean if you'll have us of course. And if you do, i'll make iy up to you dueing my stay, i don't want you to hate me lily, you're my lily. You grew up so fast it was..heart breaking"

“I didn’t grow up so fast dad, you just never had time for me and then I was basically an adult making my own decisions and you tried keeping me young and a child.” I said quietly. “You can stay here, but I still stand by not wanting to go home. It’s always drama or a fight there and it’s draining. I’ve had the worst few years of my life and I just want to be happy.” I looked at him “mason makes me happy.”

Steven nodded "i'll agree to every term you want" he smiled "can you give your old man a hug?"
