She went to her first party, expecting a fun time. What happened, would leave her with a permanent reminder of that night forever.

He was young, stupid and out for a good time. His friends tell him a girls hot for him in the bedroom upstairs who likes it rough.. Drunk and horny, he fucks her.. Not realising she's drugged, half passed out and mumbling no. He didn't realise what he'd done until it was too late.. So he left, thinking he'd never see her again.

Years later, in a grocery store.. He's back in town and they bump into each other. He doesn't recognise her at first. When he goes to leave, he notices that the little girl beside her has his eyes and it all comes crashing back to him. He wants her.. He wants to be there for his daughter.. The only problem, she has no idea he's the one who done to her all those years ago that left her with a child.

Will the guilt eat him up, making him finally confess?

"I'm definitely curious. The last surprise I had was getting knocked up" I joked, trying to make that not such a touchy subject. I tensed as I looked up, catching sight of my sister strutting her heels towards us. She gave me the once over, snarking "slut" as she saundered off, flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulders. I sighed. "That was my sister.. incase you were wondering," i said pulling the shop door open.

I shook my head. "Well if it makes you feel better I think she needs to look in the mirror because if I'm not mistaken I know she has been around the block a time or two." I know this for a fact because the guys I use to hang out with showed videos of her and all of them. I hated it. But I didn't know that was her sister. "I didn't know at the time but those idiots have her on tape, I'm sorry maddy."

"why are you apologising?" I asked laughing "you aren't at fault here." I smiled as I heard Emma "Nana I'm so hungry I could eat a whole bread." I leant in kissing his cheek "let's go have lunch, I'm eager for my surprise tonight."

I smiled hoping she liked her surprise. I was so nervous she would be mad that I paid bills and all. I sighed. "Yes let's eat. I walked in and picked Emma up. "Hey princess you hungry?" She nodded.

"very hungry daddy!" she grinned "I'm like a hungry cookie monster!" she giggled. I laughed with her "well let's get this little monster fed daddy" I showed him the way to the kitchen, Nana had made us all a coffee and put some plates out for me to serve up the food.

We all sat and talked while we ate. As we finished nana took Emma to the store next door and I helped cleaned up. "What time should you be home?" I had to make sure everything was done by then.

"by 5.." I rubbed my stomach "wow lunch definitely filled me up" I started washing up, "we can go to your apartment after I'm home, so I can help you pack up." and move into our home. I smiled at the thought

I smirked. "Already done sweetheart." She looked shocked. "Don't worry it wasn't much trust me." That thought sadden me. "Anyways we will have dinner ready along with your other surprise."

"well you have a home now, with us" I smiled, noticing the look of Sadness on him. "and I can't wait, I'm really happy you decided to do this, Emma is going to really love having a dad around."

I smiled. "Me too, I'm happy that we are where we are now." I meant it too. I kissed her before I left and helped nana and Emma into my truck. As we got home I went through what I wanted to do. I got to work on my room. I also drew the designs I wanted to do for the add on and the deck for her once that was done and nana approved I ran to the store to get a few things to start on and then stuff for dinner. Once back we started cooking and laughing.

As I walked inside I could hear laughter, it instantly warmed my heart to hear Emma giggling that way, and the smell that I inhaled was incredible, my stomach rumbling already. "something smells amazing, what are you two chefs cooking?" I asked dropping my bag and keys onto the table, thinking how I got so lucky, in a way something terrible had turned into something wonderful.

I smiled and walked over and kissed her cheek. "Oh just some spaghetti and meat balls Emma's and my favorite." I said and went back to helping. "In the table there is some drawings of some work if like to do here if it's okay, that's umm part of your surprise!"

I eyed him cautiously, "drawings? Do you do artwork?" I asked sitting down and expecting portraits or something. It took me a moment to realise they were of my house with some add ons. "Asher.. As incredible as these look, there's no way I can afford to do this." I barely managed as it was

I wiped my hands off and waked over to sit with her. "Maddy, you don't need to worry about how much it cost and I'll be doing the work." I watched her. "Sown of it I know has to be done sweetheart so we can talk about that and everything later but I'd like to do all of it!" I said excitedly. "I even can add more room for nana!"

"but I'm going to feel awful that youre doing all of this work.. And I'm not helping in any way. maybe I could look at re arranging some finances, sell the business or something to help." I felt like crap knowing that he now knew how poor I was.

I shook my head. "Nope you won't be doing that sweetheart, but please don't feel bad I want to do this and it will help me keep busy and maybe I could get out of writing and open up my own construction business like I've always wanted. Please sweetheart let me!" I said and poured out my lip a little.

When he pouted, all my hesitations seemed to fade away
"only if you're really sure, and maybe I can help with painting and other things." I frowned not really knowing what I could help with. "after we do all of that, may we could take some time away? A family trip somewhere up the coast for a weekend." I wondered, thinking Emma would love that.

I smiled. "Oh course Emma can even help well she already has." I pulled her to me and kissed her. "We can definitely go away. And umm I just want you to know you don't need to worry about money, I've got some saved." I shrugged a little uncomfortable. "Actually I have more than enough saved."

"I don't need your money." I needed to get that out "I'm not going to expect you to pay for everything, I've managed and I can manage still." I smiled weakly, not wanting to discuss money anymore.

I sighed. "I just don't want you worrying okay, I'm sorry I didn't mean anything by it, I just want you happy." I pulled her to me and kissed her forehead.

"Its ok, im just not used to anyone caring that's all." I admitted a little sadly. "anyway I'm starving, have you finished cooking?"

I smiled and kissed her. "Almost go sit and wait on us we will be done in 10 minutes." I said standing and patting her butt to go. After Emma and I finished we served it up and all say to eat.

I took that ten minutes to go and change, wash my makeup off and then check which bills I needed to pay, but I frowned when I seen there was receipt numbers on each and everyone and the words pd. There was no way, he wouldn't do that. I dialled the gas company, and asked about the owing amount, it was paid. They were all paid. Snatching up the receipts, I walked out to the kitchen and held them up "please tell me you didn't pay these Asher.." I wasn't angry, but grateful and very embarrassed.

I looked at her and hoped she wasn't mad. "I ugh I'm sorry I know you told me not to go in there but I wanted to clean it up for you seeing as you said it was a mess, but when I went in and noticed those I, I wanted to do something nice. I know what it's like to struggle and I don't want that for you." I said as nana and Emma just looked at us.

"ok." I couldn't say anything else to that, his heart was in the right place. "well, thankyou." I blushed going to the office and putting them away. He had no idea what he'd just done, or how grateful I'd forever be.
