She decides to escape all the pity looks she has been getting for a year now.  A year ago her husband and love of her life got into a horrible accident.  She was left with three kids.  One who is 2 one that is 5 and the oldest 7.  She didn't know what to do so she took the whole summer off to figure it out and took her babies to the beach for some much needed sun and time to recover specially her oldest who is always upset.  

He is a single dad of two who just recently 6 months ago divorced his pyscho of a wife.  He decided to move far away from her to his childhood beach house with his kids.  He has full custody.  He doesn't believe in love anymore after what she did to him.  All he needs is his kids and his friends.  But his friends think other wise.

I answered the door to a beautiful woman and my grand babies!  "Oh dear you two are going to get your nana in trouble.  Hello dear you must be Emilia!  Zander is out surfing so come on in!"

I smiled glancing back towards the house."oh no my children are napping, I can't leave them too long, just thought I would.return these two fence climbers before someone started to worry." i was a little disappointed he wasn't here but saves for awkward conversation after our confrontation the other.evening

I smiled "oh well When those bundles of joys of yours wake up bring them over the twins would love to play and we can chat while you help me with dinner!  I have no clue when my stubborn boy will be home he does this when he is worried or stressed."  I shook my head.  "I swear he is just like

I smiled but didn't feel welcome by him to come into his home. "I would love to help but it's not a good idea. I don't want to give the twins the wrong idea." and i wouldn't come over if he was there. He didn't want me around so I was staying to myself. "I need to go bsck, it was really nice to meet you." I waved her goodbye and quickly left before he came bsck.

Oh no that won't do.  "Let's go kids!"  I walked over to the house and knocked.  I wasn't taking no for a answer and she was going to learn to let go of what is hurting her.

I expected him to be at the door telling me to keep away, but it was his mother, "you don't give up easily do you? " i smiled pushing it all the way open for them to come in.

I smiled.  "When it comes to my son and grand babies I dont!"  I say walking past her.  I left a note saying where we were so he will be coming here and I don't care.  He has been more miserable these past days than when he found out and Lisa cheating.  I looked at her.  "Let's have some coffee and and talk while the kids watch a movie."  I say as I sat down with my coffee I asked.  "so why is my son out surfing and trying so hard to stay busy?  I want to know what he did?"

"he didn't do anything, he wanted me to move here and right now, I just can't do that. So he doesn't want any contact. I mean our kids were growing attached to each other, but i didn't think we'd just stop talking." I smiled sadly sitting out with her.

I smiled.  "Your scared of what? Betraying your late husband?  Ohh dear let me tell you your further away from the truth than I thought.  loook I lost my husband when I was pregnant with Zander!  The guy he calls father is his step father he knows this and I for so long wouldn't date because I thought the same but zander at 5 said he needed a daddy, not wanted but needed!  How could a 5 year know he needed that?"  I questioned.  "He has always been a smart boy, my zander but at that moment he let me know it was okay and in my heart I believe it was my late husband saying it was okay he would want us to be happy not miserable!  Don't you think your husband would want the same for you and your kids?"  I asked looking at her.

"I know, and he would but i can't expect Zander to just start being the father of my children. Andy is still coming to terms that his daddy isn't coming back and Im afraid to be hurt again." I was afraid of losing it all again. "Zander just stopped talking to me, to my children. I can't have that if I'm going to move on. It would confuse them."

I sighed.  "Now let me tell you I don't agree with him doing that but I understand his reasons.  He is afraid too my dear.  He has to listen to his children say that don't have a mummy because of what she did.  He suffers day and night because that butch hurt those kids he could careless that she cheated on him after he found out he came straight here he didn't go surfing or anything like that he cares for you and those children and he would be proud if you were to stay.  But because you told him you couldn't he decided not to let his children and yours to hurt more when you leave because the more these kids get attatched the worst it will be and you'll see!"  I say as I just knew that this woman was meant for my son I liked her but she needed to figure it al out.  Before she could answer the door rang.


My dam mother always getting involved.

i wiped my eyes as I went to answer the door. I knew who it was going to be. "she's in the kitchen. " i couldn't look at him, I knew he was mad and I didn't want to see his annoyance.

I looked at her.  "I'm sorry my crazy mother likes to get involved.  I hope she didn't say or do anything to upset you."  I say and walk in then my legs are being hit by two little bodies.  Noah and Mia. I smiled down at them and glanced at Emilia.  "Sorry" God I missed these two. I saw andy and smiled at him.  He ran over and hugged me.  I was shocked.

it was seeing that, I knew what I needed to do. I had to go back, see the lawyer which I had refused to di and move here. "they've missed you, oh your mums harmless. Your twins climbed the fence and snuck over." I laughed "cheeky monkeys they are."

"They what?  Oh god.  They didn't get hurt did they?"  I asked like a idiot.  As andy left to play noah still clung to me so I lifted him up.  Mia ran to my mum and I smiled.  "I missed them too."  I said carefully. "They greet me but my own don't wow!"  I say with a laugh.  I gave my mum a look and she smiled sweetly.

"they didn't get hurt, it was cute seeing them sneak but you'll need a higher fence when they're teenagers" i teased. "how was your surf?" his wet beach hair suited him and dine things to my insides, I liked that he didn't need to be perfectly done up daily

I laughed.  "It was wet and rough."  I winked.  "Just how I like it sometimes."  I say to her and then walk over to my mum kissing her cheek.  Then Mia looked at me so I kissed her cheek too and she giggled.  "Well we should get home and eat!"  I say not wanting to look at her she was beautiful and it still hurt.

"yes, I have to make some calls and your mum was in the middle of cooking when I interrupted her." If i didn't call while i had this courage then I never would be able to.

I smiled.  I was hoping she would say no stay but it was obvious she still didn't want what I did.  And I couldn't believe I wanted it.  I put noah down and was tackled again by him.  I smiled and patted his head.  "I'm sorry buddy I gotta get him and shower!"  I looked up at mum.  She smiled her knowing smile she knew it was breaking my heart.  "How about tomorrow we all
Go to the zoo!"  Mum said.

i managed a smile. "alright, the zoo tomorrow would be fun. I kind of owe the kids a trip there anyway." I looked at Zander, "if that's alright with you? " i asked quieter.

I looked at her and smiled.  "Yeah of course I kind of owe you and the kids that trip."  I said and smiled as literal all the kids ran at me causing me to to fall I had min and her two older one and little Mia was in my mums wanting in on the action she put her down and she came and hugged my neck.  Laughing as my twins said "get our daddy tickling him he hates it!" I laughed and shook my head then we all stopped when Mias little voice rang.  "Get daddy."  Oh fuck I looked up and instantly my eyes locked with Emilia's.  Fuck fuck fuck she will run now.

No no no. I don't know if Andy heard but i wasn't ever expecting to hear something like that so soon, it was like a blow to the gut. I wanted to ignore it but I couldn't she was too little to understand properly. There was no way I could go tomorrow, I needed to sort things out back home. "umm i think you should go. " I whispered and took off for the bedroom bursting into tears.

I looked at mum and she nodded.  She took the twins home while I went and knocked in the door.  "Emilia I'm sorry I didnt-  look I'm sorry. If you still want to go just umm I guess come over at 10 if not we can make it another time.  Just please don't-". I couldn't finish I was a total ass.  I looked over and saw Andy.  "Your mother needs you!  Be strong and help her okay!"  He nodded.  I left and went to sit out on the back deck with bo till my mum came out with a beer.

"are you sure you want to be involved with her?" i asked with a sigh "shes fighting an inner battle of moving forward but consumed with guilt. She's fallen for you, I can see it."

I looked at my mum and drank a sip of my beer.  "Yeah I'm sure. It if She isn't then I'll let her go.  I just wish she wouldn't let me and fight."  I say sadly bo looked up and knew I was talking about Emilia.  "Mum you have seen her talked to her you know I can't just not feel something she is perfect for me I know it."
