Lani who lost her parents thinks finding love is important and goes through school to achieve two things one getting her degree and two finding love.

I looked up confused "uh thanks for the advise but we're just hanging out," I said a little pissed at the nerve of this guy.

"You don't get it! You can't just be friends with lani! It won't work." I said wanting to laugh he has no clue. Every guy that has tried to be 'friends' with her end up falling it's always been that way since we were little. "Beside all I'm saying is be careful." I went back to my work.

I had no idea what the fuck that was about or what she had said to him. I forgot the food and stormed out before I really lost it. Who the hell did he think he was to tell me about love when I barely knew her! I was fuming.

i sighed "shit I'll be back!" I said and walked out before he got into his car I stopped. "Everything okay?" I asked not stepping to close. "What did my idiot of a cousin say?"

oh my I can't believe he said that. "I'm sorry he is a idiot and it's not like you want that we are just friend that hung out once he needs to get over it and stay out of my business. I'm really sorry and I understand if you don't want to be friends it wouldn't be the first time he has ruined a friendship for me."

I sighed "it's fine. Tell him to back off otherwise you'll lose friends" I said running a hand through my hair "you should go back to tess before she wonders where you are

i smiled and said bye to him. Looks like I already did loose a friend. I glared at Dylan and went to tell Tess I needed to go home and get some sleep.

i look at her. "No we are friends we went for a swim and then we went to his where I fell asleep in his guest bed and he in his." I sighed. "I don't do hook ups and you know it."

"true, and he doesn't do girls more than once from what I've heard. Hasn't ever let one in his place, maybe you're different to him. " she winked.

i sighed. "I am different because I'm his friend not after him for a one night stand! Tess seriously I'm not his type and he isn't mine we are friends." I say then thinking back on the kiss we shared.

"I give it a week before you're dry humping on a surf board." Tess grinned "think what you want, if you don't want him then I'm going to try get him. "

i shook my head. Only Tess. "Have fuN! I'm sure he will go for you I mean you are his type! The bit it and leave it kind!" I got up. "I'm tired I gotta go plus I missed classes today and most likely I will the rest of the week as Thursday is the anniversary." I sighed.

I got bored at home and ended up heading back to the beach. I dont know why I came here, it actually calmed me more. I couldn't get her off my mind, which was annoying me. I've never thought about any girl before so I didn't know why her now

i laid down as I got home and dozed off instantly. Knowing tomorrow's first class is the one with him and I really didn't want to see Tess throw herself at him so I wasn't going and decided to go early to get some waves as the death of my family approached I found myself always being alone.

I got up and headed to class. Not really being bothered with anything at all today. I got in the room and took a spot at the back. Listening to everyone talk about their weekend and who fucked who.

i walked in knowing lani wouldn't be there so when I saw him I walked over. "Hi is this seat taken?" I said with a smile and a wink!

I just stared at her and shrugged "don't think so." I didn't really pay any attention to her and kept looking down at the book

i sat down and tried to see what he was so interested in. "So did you have fun with lani? She said y'all went swimming then to yours but that's so unlike her!" I just kept talking. "She is sweet you know. Very beautiful but doesn't do your type!"

I looked at her and frowned "my type? How do you know what my type is?" she just wouldn't stop talking and it was doing my head in

i laughed. "Ohh you are gorgeous but not to smart huh!" I laughed. "I'm kidding she just doesn't go for the guys who enjoy one night stands. She doesn't believe in that never has." I sighed. "But that's her loss because I believe in living and having fun!" I winked. "But lani is a good friend she might be MIA this week but she will be back to her bubbly self soon!"
