I opened my eyes when I heard a knock on the door. I moved off him and pulled the cover over his naked body and I threw on some clothes. I opened the door to see his mum. "We're going out for dinner tonight, leave in an hour." She smiled. "Ok sounds good thanks." I smiled and closed the door laying back down beside him.

"Your mum said were all going out for dinner in an hour," I ran my hand through his hair. "You look exhausted," I said kissing him softly.

I went and told his Mum that Brock wasn't feeling to well so we'd skip on dinner and join them next time. I went back up to the room and just laid there, watching him sleeping. I went for a walk to see his horses and fed them, then came back a little bored and changed into my pjs then got in the bed and went to sleep at 7pm.

i woke early the next morning and went out to feed the animals. When I came back in I started coughing real bad. Ma came in and looked worried. "Go back to bad dear." She told me.

I woke to a rooster cock a doodle doing and got up. I looked at Brock beside me still fast asleep. He was sweating. I opened a window and pulled the covers down. "I love you," i said kissing his cheek I then went into the shower.

It was almost dinner time two days later and Brock was still sleeping. I walked in the room and rubbed his back, "Brock, you need to go to the hospital. You're not well baby," I said softly. "Let me take you?"

i opened my eyes and nodded. She was right. I needed to be looked at I wasn't myself and the rodeo was coming up fast. I needed to be well for that. I had a surprise for her.

I helped him dress and then drove him down to the local hospital here. We sat inside and then was being seen. I was really worried and nervous, I hoped nothing was wrong with him. I held onto his hand and leant into him when the door opened.

i raised my head they had took so much blood from me which made me tired even more. The doctor walked in and sat down. "We ran some test and your white blood cells are very low so we ran some more test and we believe you may have the early stage of Myelodysplastic syndrome. Or MDS. It's more common in males but not usually in young males. We want to keep you for a few days so we can see what our next step will be." I starred at him. "What is this MDS?" I asked. "It's a type of cancer that has a very high survival rate and your in the early stage so we will be able to stop and clean in out. It's simple and bacteria that attacks your cells. I'll give you some reading material to read to help you better understand."

I looked at the doctor and listened quietly. I felt so sick at what was being said. "Will he need chemo?" I asked after finding my voice. I was absolutely heart broken that he was this sick. I wiped my eyes as I kept listening.
