Life isn't fair to some people. Silica Jones had a bad relationship with her dad so she ran away. Now she's in love with a rich guy and her mother is dying. What will she do? What will HE do? "What kind of food are you in the mood for?" I asked moving on towards the food strip.

[Mizho Sohma]

"Anything that you want will be fine," I said.

"Hmmmm...Have you ever been to a Japanese Steakhouse?"

"They cost about $60, I can't afford a place that nice," I said. I looked at him, my clothes were old, and torn. I didn't have anything fix them with or money to replace them with.

"Lets go on clothing/shoes/anything else you need shopping spree tomorrow?" I said as I walked to the steakhouse with her. "Food and the spree is on me."

"Thank you," I said with surprise and wondered what was the catch here. I had never known a person to be so nice and not want something in return. "So hat do you want in return?"

"I desire nothing in return. I'm trying to help someone who is in need of my help. Plus having someone else in my home would make me feel less..alone."

"Okay, so you're in need of company," I said. That's actually not a bad thing. He's not asking for greedy things like I suspected. "My father says people won't offer something without a greedy little price, but my dad never asked. If I asked for something he'd hit me or get it then do whatever he thought I deserved for asking," I mumbled.

"I'm sorry. Your dad seems like a real asshole." I said before we entered.

"He is, he does things that my father shouldn't do to me." I said as we were seated at a table.

"Right now focus looking at the menu." I said. "And enjoy the the chef who comes to make our food in front of us."

I nodded. "Okay," I said and looked through everything.

When we were ready we ordered.

I got a vegetable plate and gave my menu back. I glance around and see people whispering and staring and not very discretely pointing at me. I looked down at my lap quietly.

"Don't mind them. They aren't looking at you." I said and smiled at her

I looked at him. "Alright. I guess since it's women then they're looking at you," I said a little lightly trying to see if he'd laugh at the small attempt at a joke.

"They only look because I'm the son of a rich and powerful man."

I smiled softly. "Alright. But they are giving us curious glances," I said.

"Honestly just ignore them. They look and just see dollar signs. Because they are gold diggers."

"Clearly," I said.
