When she got up, he was tempted to pull her back down for round two, but decided against it. He fixed his clothes as she did the same with her dress. He smiled at her and kissed the palm of her hand as she touched his face. "neither of us, can afford to be late." he said as he checked to make sure he had his keys and phone. As they walked towards the door he picked up his bag from the bottom of the steps and headed out.

All he could do was nod his head at her question. Jessica was like his baby sister. She along with Eric were the few people he grew up with, and he was always protective of her. Wanting the best for her as any big brother would. And now she was clinging to life by a thread. He reached over and opened the passenger door for her to get in. How can he call himself an Alpha if he's getting captured and allowing those closest to him get hurt? He wasn't cut out for this.

She saw the sadness in his eyes and it made her heart ache to know that he was hurting all she wanted to do was take his sadness away. She quickly got in the truck closing the door before looking at him. She didn't know what to say or do so she just stayed quiet as he drove.

Once she was in and buckled he sped off towards the hospital as fast as he could without breaking the speed limit. After a few minutes of silence he reached over and took her hand in his, and he began to feel a little calmer. He took a quick glance at her sending her a silent thanks with his eyes.

She could feel his nervousness and anxiety seeping through him as he held his hand not letting go. She gave him a small smile of reassurance letting him know she wasn't going anywhere. He has been always been there for her, now it's her turn to be there for him.

They made it to the hospital and he parked the car but never got out. He was afraid. "Jessica is like a sister to me. Like Eric and Ray we grew up together. I met her when I was only 13 at first it started off as a crush but she had a boyfriend that was a jackass, but I stuck it out and then my crush turned into a siblingng type thing and it's been that way ever since. We were as thick as thieves. She always looked up to me for everything. Never did anything outrageous without my input, and always wanted my opinion on everything no matter how small it was. The last time I saw Minion was about two years ago. We had a big blow up over her fiance. She never believed me when I told her he was cheating. In her eyes Jackson could do no wrong. He said and did all the right things to keep her under his wing. Things were said between us that I'm sure we both regret, and now here she is hanging on to life by a thread." He felt a tear roll down his cheek but made no attempt at wiping it away. "I never got to tell her I was sorry for what I said. And how much I missed having her around."

She listened to him silently not speaking a single word, she could feel her eyes watering seeing him like that. Quietly she moved her hand and wiped the tear off his cheek. "I know I don't know her like you do but im certain she knew how much you cared for her and deep down she knows you were only doing it for her safety"

He looked over at her and returned the gesture by wiping a lone tear that fell. He unbuckled his seat belt and leaned over to kiss her. She would forever be there to comfort him. He just knew it. "Come on lets go in and see how she's doing."

She kissed him back looking at him before unbuckling her seat belt as she got out the car. She quickly moved to his side and took his hand in hers. "You have to have faith everything is going to be alright" she said softly at him.

He allowed her to pull him from the truck and into the hospital. He gave the receptionist Jessicas name and she pointed them in the direction. When they got there he saw Eric and Ray with their girlfriends, Jay and his sister, and some other guy he never met before. "How is she?" He asked looking at everyones faces.

She was feeling a little overwhelming with everyone there especially since the only person she knew was Eric but she wasggoing to stick it up for Jonathans sake. She looked at Eric sadly, praying that Jessica was going to be alright.

"The doctors said it was fatal, but no word on anything just yet." Eric was the first to speak. They heard foot steps and shouting from behind them. The foot steps came from Leslie and Rick, the shouting however was from another family recieving bad news.

"How's she doing?" Rick asked once they were closer and Eric repeated what he had told Jonathan. "Hello Bay, it's nice to see you again. Sorry it had to be under these conditions though." Rick said with a smile.

She tightened her grip on Jonathans hand. She knew the news could go either way and hoped it would be for the better. She didn't want him suffering like she did when she lost her brother. "Hi Rick" she said giving him a small smile. "It's nice to see you and Leslie. I hope the next time we meet it will be in a more happier event"

"Likewise." He said with a slight nod of his head. "Who's that?" Rick asked referring to the guy no one has yet to acknowledge.

The guy stood and faced the small crows feeling nervous. Jessica hasn't told them about him because she was afraid they wouldn't approve due to her last relationship. He cleared his throat before answering only to get stopped by the doctor stepping in with news on her.

"Family of Jessica Mitchell?"

Everyone standing there stared at the doctor with a confused expression except the guy and Bay. "Excuse me doctor but her last name is Morris." Jonathan said speaking what was on everyone's mind. The doctor looked down at the charts and shook his head disagreeing. "It says here it's Mitchell. Oh wait, maiden name Morris."

"So what's the update?" The guy asked looking nervous. "Well we were able to stop the bleeding and the surgery was successful. If the air bag hadn't of went off then it would have been a lot worse." The doctor explained.

"What happened?" Jonathan asked. "She was involved in a four car pile up, a guy fell asleep at the wheel due to him working himself to death, no pun intended, he swerved and ran into Jessica hitting the drivers side and it went down hill from there. Two casualties, one death, and another who walked away with a bunch of scraps and bruises. A few broken bones. That was all." The doctor explained as well. "When will we be able to see her?" Jonathan asked. "Well we're still doing some more work and tests, but I will come and let you all know." With that he gave us all a short nod before leaving.

She let out asigh of relief to hear that Jessica was going to be alright, she looked at Jonathan "See you just gotta keep faith" she said quietly as she turned to look at everyone forgetting they could hear her. Ooh she thought blushing slightly before turning to look at the guy that no one knew.

He couldn't help but smile down at her and when she started blushing he kissed her cheek. "Mind telling us who you are now?" Jonathan asked the guy.

He looked around nervously. "I'm her husband, Maurice Mitchell. We got into a heated discussion about when she was going to come and tell you guys. I wanted her to come tell you guys right away but she wanted to wait it out a little longer." He explained.

"How long have you been married?" Jonathan asked. He was trying to wrap his brain around everything. He thought she was with someone else.

"A few months now. We were close friends for about three years, but it wasn't until she caught her ex-boyfriend cheating, that we chose to explore this thing we've always felt. We just went to the court house and had the judge marry us."

She smiled at him before looking at the man named Maurice. It seems there was some things to be out and known. She could tell he cared and loved Jessica a lot by the way he looked when he explained to Jonathan about them.

It was quiet for awhile no one spoke anything. "Why did she want to wait to tell us she was married?" Jonathan asked.

"She wanted to wait because she didn't think Jonathan would approve of me, and from the looks of it, I take it that you're Jonathan." He stated more than questioned. Jonathan simply nodded his head as a confirmation. "She told me how over protective you were and plus your last encounter wasn't a good one." Jonathan just shook his head remembering that day clearly. He must admit that he can be over protective at times but he just wanted the best for her.

She knew Jonathan was beating himself up for what he last said to her, she didn't like knowing he was like that. she squeezed his hand wanting to let him know he did what he thought was right for her. He must know that.

Jonathan wrapped his arms aroundnd Bay drawing comfort from her. It seemed like they were waiting for eternity for the doctor to come back with an update.

She was calmer wrapped in Jonathans arms, there was no words needed for him to know she was here for him. It felt like for ever but finally the doctor came towards them. Bay hoped Jessica was out of the woods.

"She's lost a lot of blood and may need to have a transfusion. There was a little swelling in her brain, but we were able to relieve the pressure so it should go down soon." The doctor explained looking at us all before turning his attention to her husband. "Something else we discovered was that she was about two weeks pregnant. Surprisingly the baby was unharmed in all of this chaos, but she may have some complications during the pregnancy so I advise you to keep her stress free and not allow her to do a lot of work. We'll be moving her to her room in a few minutes. Once she's settled I'll come and let you all see her." With that he turned and walked back the way he came. Once the doctor was gone it seemed like the tension just increased with the news of her pregnancy and everyone was now looking at her husband.

She felt bad for the poor guy. He was being scrutinized by ever everyone, especially by Jonathan and Eric. She hoped an argument wouldn't break down, it was already getting good, there was no need to make it worse. She was happy to hear the news for Jonathans sake.She looked at J (Ahh I forgot her name lol im like..Jocelyn...Jessica haha) Ricks mate worried nothing would get out of hand.

Jonathan was angry yet happy for Jess and her husband. But most of all he felt hurt, that she didn't come to him and share the good news of her engagement. Of course he would have given her a hard time, but he would have been happy for her no matter what. All of this was too much, he needed to get out and get some air. He stepped out of Bay's arms and headed for the door.

She looked at him sadly as he walked away out the door, not sure weather to stay there or go and comfort him. But she knew he needed his space to think alone so she decided to stay where she was, even if it was in a room of people she barely knew.

He stood out side letting the breeze clear his mind. The calm before the storm so to speak. He felt bad about leaving Bay by herself but he needed to be alone for a while.

Felicia watched as Jonathan walked away. She knew Bay felt a little out of place. "Why don't we go and get the guys something to drink." She suggested as an attempt to ease the tension a little.
