I was busy conscientrating on my fish when it dawned on me. " what is it you do for a living pretty boy?"

I chuckled, "you don't pay attention much do you sweetheart," I smiled. "I'm a builder." I answered her.

"You never mentioned that! I'm sure you don't know what I do?" I say.

I grinned, "you got me, no we've never spoken about what we do for work, what is it that you do?" I wondered.

I smiled. "Well I'm currently at a dead end corporate job I hate but I've been working on my BA because I would like to teach." I say shyly.

"That's great, you like kids?" I asked, "what age group do you want to teach?"

I smiled. "Yes I love them. I'm hoping to be able to teach 1st or 2nd." I say not knowing how he felt about kids and I didn't want to ask so I decided to ask this. "So your in building but what type?"

"houses, I am actually building a new house on a bit of land I own, much like this with a lake. Im a quiet guy who likes simple things," I smiled at her. I bet she'd be great with kids.

"That's awesome. So are you the Architect too?" I smiled.

[melbender]

"I designed it, with the help of an actual Architect," I smiled. "so do you have any siblings?"

[Ashwag24]

I laughed. "I already told you I'm all on my own pretty boy. How about you?"

"Sorry, I forget things easily," I grinned feeling embarrassed. "I have a sister who's older, she's married to a jerk off and they have for kids,"

"So your a uncle! Do you see them a lot?"

[melbender]

"I try to see them once a month, they live about an hour away from home. They're 2 and 3, spoilt as hell though, my kids won't grow up like that. I want them to say please and thankyou," I didn't realise I was just babbling on, "you must think i'm boring and probably want to leave now."

I giggled and then smiled at him. "I think it's sweet and honestly I agree my kids well be brought up with manners too." I say then realized he said he wants kids. "So you don't get along with your brother in law?"

"No he's not from around here, he likes to drink and I know he's cheated on her, she won't listen to me though." I sighed.

I felt bad. "I'm sorry, she must really love him to be so blind." I didn't know what else to say.

[melbender]

"Must do" I grinned, "it's ok, I don't have to see him often so I don't care." I leant over and kissed her cheek, "Do you want to go out for dinner with me tonight?" I asked, god I was nervous.

I smiled at all his little gestures. "Of course!" I say blushing. "Where are we going?"

"I'd like to take you to place where we take our fish we catch and the guy there cooks them up for you, it's kind of a romantic setting too," I said embarrassed. god romantic? how pathetic of me.

I smiled. Was he nervous? No he couldn't be. "Um do I need to wear something nice? Because I didn't really pack anything." I felt a little embarrassed by this.

"No the good thing is that you don't need to dress up." I grinned, "you'll look beautiful in anything anyway." god I was coming out with some cheesy shit.
