Everyone worries what their friends really think about them or if they are really their friends. But Kenzie never has, for awhile it was just a feeling she got from a person. But at age 13 her mother said her eyes turned yellow with slitted pupils. When her mom pointed it out she said she could tell that the person was not a nice person at all so they didn't do anything about it. But with these eyes she can basically see your soul, she can see your good and bad intentions and if there's any hidden talents about you. If so, your intentions will be hidden, but she can still feel that tug if something is wrong.

I smiled and landed and walked in with my sister.

I went to my class like nothing happened. It was almost lunch. That made me groan, I always sat outside alone.

Star went and sat down beside her.

I looked up from my book as she sat. "Hey." I said and smiled.

Star smiled at her. "Hey." I said smiling.

"What's up?" I asked.

[Little Red]

"Nothing much. Hey look I one the art contest." I said holding up my winning masterpeice.

[Mizho Sohma]

"That's great, very nice." I smiled.

[Little Red]

"Thanks!!" I said smiling.

[Mizho Sohma]

"You're really good at art." I said.

[Little Red]

"Thank you." I said smiling at her.

[Mizho Sohma]

"No problem. So, do you mind if I ask about you and your brother? I mean, I'm intrigued by a lot of people I can't read, but more so you and him." I said as I grabbed a bite of my food.

"I don't mind at all." I said.

[Mizho Sohma]

"Alright, so just tell me what you feel comfortable revealing." I told her.

[Little Red]

"Anything." I said with a shrug.

[Mizho Sohma]

"Well, I have not specific questions so just ramble off things." I said.

[Little Red]

"Um...just ask away." I said smiling as I took a bite of my apple.

[Mizho Sohma]

"Uh, I'm not sure if I should ask about your dad. I mean, I heard my brother tell you about my relationship with my own." I said.

[Little Red]

"It's fine..really go ahead." I said smiling.

[Mizho Sohma]

"I just want to understand a little bit about your home life. It sounds pretty bad, and I really want to help you both." I said. "I mean, if anything happens like I said just call and I'll be there."

[Little Red]

"Okay well...to sum it up and give an example...its like a Cinderella story but instead of two step sisters there's one but she's just as bad as two, there's no happily ever after, instead of both parents dying our father and step mother are just like the evil step mother but split in two and both are just as evil and instead of our mother dying she is sick." I said. "Oh and instead of Cinderella it's two people a boy and a girl...but still the same concept." I said and shrugged.

"Ah, so basically my life before dad got put in jail and mom out of the hospital. I mean, with her in it's bad but all this was before she went in. But really, if you need a place to stay we'll find room in our house." I said. I wasn't too keen on letting them stay if I could help it.

[Little Red]

"No, no! It's fine...I guess...we wouldn't want to intrude." I said. "But thank you so much for the offer, it really means a lot." I said smiling.

[Mizho Sohma]

"It wouldn't be intruding, in fact. If you can, come have dinner with us." I said. "It's a custom my mom brought from Japan to invite friends over at least once a week. It was their family custom, and we wear slippers in the house." I was smiling talking about that. I loved my heritage.

I smiled at her, "I'd love that. I'll talk to Shade and see what he says. And then maybe we can show you some of our customs." I said smiling widely.
