I smiled but then it went away at the mention of Bri. I had forgotten she was even there. "Aww Bri-Bri I love you too." I said with feigned happiness. We weren't best friends but we were close. I saw the look of shock register on her face at what Jared was saying, and I knew there was something going on. I just smiled and laid my head on his shoulder while keeping my eyes on her.

"yes yes umm i really do" i panicked why was he lying now~bri
the bell rang " we have these last classes together , it will be great coz i missed you" i stood up with her my hand still around her waist "see you bri"

"Bye Bri." I called over my shoulder as I walked away with Jared. I circled my arm around his waist as well and we walked out the cafeteria. "You wanna help me pick out a new phone?" I asked once we were in the halls.

"yeah sure after classes we will do that. but i wanted to tell you that with bri it's not what you think.she actually was flirting with me this morning and she did it many times before i just didn't want to tell you because i know she is your friend"

I know what he was saying was true, but just hearing them out loud only made it hurt more. "I kind of figured that much. It seemed like ever since we started dating, she always found a reason to ask about you and other things she didn't need to know. But I really don't think a friend would do that." I said looking up at him. "I know you wouldn't hurt me intentionally."

"but you can be sure that she is nothing like you and no girl can take your place here" i put her hand over my heart " because its beating just because you're in it" i smiled kissed her

I smiled brightly at him and kissed him back. He knew how to erase my pain and make me feel special. Yet here I was keeping secrets from him. I keep telling myself it was for the best.

after classes we went to get her a new phone we were talking and laughing all the way till i noticed that it was really hot and she was wearing a thick scarf i stopped walking and looked at her "aren't you hot with that?"

"Not really. Plus it goes with my outfit." I said twirlling around so he could get a better look. The truth was I couldn't let him seem my bruise that was sitting between the side of my neck and my shoulder.

i just couldn't believe her for some reason i came closer and tried to take it off but she removed my hand "what? i miss your neck"

I laughed as I held his hand in mine. "Well you'll have to miss it for another day." I said jokingly. We walked into my usual phone store and went straight to the counter. I've been here so much I practically know every worker here.

I said nothing more about it I talked to the owner and gave him my credit card as she was choosing I knew she will get mad a bit but I knew how to calm her

I looked through the new collections of phones they'd just gotten. Most of them were either expensive or they didn't seem right to me. When I finally chose a phone I started getting my money ready when I seen them swiping Jared's card. He knew I hated when he pays for my things. Most girls would kill for it, but not me. I like to know that what I got was from my hard earned cash. I looked at him with narrowed eyes as I put my money back into my pocket. I told Brandon to transferr everything over from my last phone to this one since I could see anything on my screen. The process only took about 15 minutes. i picked out two cases for the phone and paid with my own money before Jared could protest against it.

i smiled and let her pay this will diminish her anger. when she was done we walked out and i was walking faster than her so she wouldn't start yelling in the middle of the street but she reached me and looked at me " what! you're birthday is tomorrow consider it a birthday gift" i took her hand and kissed her hand

"Still you know I hate it when you do that." I tried going for an angry tone but I just couldn't keep the smile from my lips. If I can count on anyone remebering my birthday it was him and Austin. My parents never really acknowledged the fact that they remembered at all, which I've grown acostumed to.

i touched her cheek smiling i was about to kiss her but i noticed that two guys were looking at us i looked at them frowning and realized that they actually followed us from school i took her hand " come on we gotta go" i said from pure instinct not knowing why

I was smiling from ear to ear when I felt his demenor change. Instead of the happy feeling I was getting just moments ago changed to something cold. "What's wrong?" I asked as I tried to keep up with his fast paced walking. Something was definitly wrong.

"i..i don't really know but something is wrong we're being followed i just can't find a explanation why would they follow to kids if not to kidnap them?" i stopped a cab and we left i looked behind but couldn't see them i just frowned

I sat closer to him as I felt the panice raise up inside. I turned and looked in the dirrection he was looking but saw no one. "Are you sure we're being followed?" I asked in a quiet voice turning back around and looking up at him.

i just nodded i couldn't talk something was wrong and it was the first time i got startled that much.i managed to tell the driver where to take us, when he dropped her off i kissed her " i'll see you tomorrow"

I kissed him back and hugged him tight. "See you tomorrow." I said saddly. I didn't want him to leave just yet, I was just warming up to him being around again.

i hugged her back smiling even though i was boiling inside i was sick with worry but i had to leave her, after all who am i to protect her? i can't i'm just a kid.i kissed her once again and got back to the cab before i could change my mind and stay with her.

I stood and frowned as I watched the cab drive away. Once it turned the corner I looked and seen I was close to my house. I really didn't want to go. I turned away from the dirrection of the cab nad started walking home, as I got closer I seen Austin was sitting on the steps playing with his action figures. "Hey buddy." I smiled and waved. "Hey Ash." He stood and hugged me once I was on the steps. "Anybody home?" "Dad left like twenty minutes ago, and mom is sleeping." "Did you eat anything?" I asked him and he shook his head no. I held his hand as we walked inside. I sat my phone on the table and began searching for something to cook.

when i got home i went to my room and changed for my basket practice i was a bit late but it was okay i quickly readied myself and drove there when i got to school i went to the field and before starting i text ash i'm sorry i got to leave i have training hours.love you<3

As I finished up the short snack I made for us both I heard my phone buzzing on the table. I quickly grabbed it and seen it was from Jared. I just wish you didn't have to be gone so long. But I will be okay. I love you more <3 I texted back. I cleaned up our mess and went upstairs. I told Austin to get his clothes for tomorrow out and bring them to my room if he wanted to sleep with me again. He said he was going to be a big boy and sleep in his own room tonight. We sat around and took more pictures with my new phone and played games. My mom never woke up and my dad had yet to return home.
