Moody and broody at the best of times, always locked away in his office. He worked hard. His wife wanted a child. He would do whatever it took to keep his wife happy. It was quiet as she left and I looked up “I should go. You have work to do and I’ve got a busy day of Well, not much.” Maybe packing and just leaving. My heart was breaking at this. She was right. I was a home wrecker

I stood up and pulled her to me. “Don’t please.” I was so scared Sarah just made me loose them . I hated her. “Just give me time okay babe I promise things will be back to normal in 6 months.”

I nodded and watched her leave knowing I probably just watched her walk away with my life in her hands. I had a feeling she was going to do something and I didn’t like it. I finished work and went back to the god aweful place I once called home not wanting to see Sarah I went straight to my room and locked the door. I pulled my phone and sent a text to willow -hey babe I love you I had a shit day after you left I want to talk but I didn’t want to wake Hudson so call me xx- I waited and waited and never got a call. Shit maybe she was sleeping.

Seeing my phone light up, I cried more. I know I said I could do this but maybe I just couldn’t. My heart hurt too much. - sorry on a call with my friend x - I had my bags packed, and had no choice but to leave and let him be. My dad has a house that no one knew about. I just needed to get away and think and by the beach in the cottage it would be perfect for us. Six months would be hell waiting with us both knowing how hard it will only get. I had to be strong for our son and believe that maybe one day we could be together again. I was going crazy the rest of the week I called and called and nothing I called my parents and tonight I am going over there for dinner I miss them I need to home them I’m literally going to go crazy and the fact that Sarah is loving it pisses me off more.  What if something happened to them.  “Fuck!” I then thought of something and called her from my office phone she might not know the number and answer.

“Why are you pacing the room?” His mother asked, but knew too well why he was doing. “You’re going to ware a whole through my carpet if you’re not careful.”

My phone rang as I was in the shower, I ran out to answer it and a number I didn’t reckonise flashed up. I almost answered, but I didn’t.

“Chase, dear.. I think you better sit down for this.” And she opened her palm to reveal her mother’s ring, the one he gave her. “I need to talk to you.”

I looked down and shook my head. “No!” I looked up with tears in my eyes and turned and left I couldn’t believe this. I tried to call again and nothing -why? Why did you do this? You can’t just leave not with Hudson willow I can get my lawyer involved if need be! This isn’t right! I really thought you loved me how I love you but obviously you don’t taking off! At least you gave back my grandmothers ring!- I was pissed.

Fuck. I really screwed up. I didn’t expect him to react so nastily. I burst into tears again, and felt sick to my stomach. I shook as I began to type out a reply, but what was I meant to say? I read her text. Shaking my head. -yeah well I think Hudson deserves his father,which you clearly don’t, and this whole thing fuck you don’t know the half of it but even if I told you that yours and my sons life was in danger wouldn’t matter to you because you don’t love me like you said! You will be hearing from my lawyer I won’t have you take him from me!- I through my phone breaking it then drove to the bar. I was so upset.

I tried calling but it went to voicemail. If only he could understand, but I knew he couldn’t. Jesus Christ. I walked to the doors, making sure they were locked and I took Hudson, holding him in my arms and laying down in bed with him. “What a mess. I’ve just ruined everything even more.” I said to him.

It took me a while to get a new phone partly because I didn’t want to talk to anyone. My lawyer was looking for willow but nothing yet Sarah was on my last nerve and I just wanted to scream. I haven’t talked to my parents because let’s face it they didn’t stop her or try to. I haven’t slept I’ve been drinking a lot after work sometimes I stay over at work. My life is a mess.

I was so worried about my son I flew to see willow and Hudson. As I stood there I was angry at this whole situation.

I opened the door, and sighed “if you’ve come to yell, don’t bother. I can’t handle that today.” Before I knew it, I had burst into tears, shaking my head “I just can’t deal with it today.. I’m sorry.. I just-“ I looked up with tears in my eyes “he has every right to hate me. Heck, I even hate myself.. but I just can’t bare to be there when he’s going home to her each night. I can’t.”

She sighed “I’m not here to yell sweetie I’m just worried, he won’t answer our calls and won’t let us into his office at work. He is shutting everyone out dear.” She started to cry. “I thought I was helping protect you and Hudson but I guess I made things worst I’m so sorry, just I don’t know I need to see Hudson he reminds me of chase when he was little.”

“Chase hates me. He was so angry, I haven’t spoken to him since.” I said opening the door for her. I’d been asleep on the couch, tired after a long night. “He is on the floor trying to roll over.”

She sighed. “My boy doesn’t hate, he just doesnt understand and he feels betrayed by all of us he will forgive you once you truly talk to him. He loves you I know because if he didn’t he wouldn’t be so upset.” She felt bad. “To be honest I do think we made a mistake and we should have just told him the plan but we didn’t and now we have to deal with it. How are you doing besides all of that? Have you been eating? You’re looking aweful thin already!”

“I’m doing the best I can, they say the break up diet is amazing.” I tried joking but I didn’t laugh. “I miss him so much. I tried to call, he won’t answer and his secretary told me I wasn’t allowed to call the office anymore. I just know if I go back there I’m going to struggle.”

I have a little laugh . “His secretary told me the same thing dear. He is just upset. Maybe you can come back with me and visit him and see where things will go or you can wait till he lives out this thing with her. He is doing it for you and Hudson you know that don’t you? He came and told us the threats and wanted to protect you she told him if he went to the cops then she would have her brother take you and do really terrible things I can’t even repeat.”

“Well maybe he should just have her taken care of” I grinned and sat down. “He doesn’t want to see me, trust me. He’s mad, extremely mad with me.” I said ashamed “I had to leave. I was turning into somebody I’m not and it killed me, I need to be the best version of myself for Hudson. I know that if I stayed there, I would have destroyed what we had. I’m a jealous woman and I do t want to share him. Yet I’m having to with a woman who’s vindictive and controlling, he could have asked to come to me. He never at all once asked or said he is coming with us. He just went on the attack”

She sighed.  “He went in the attack because you just up and lift my dear he is upset and wasn’t thinking when he did.  He sees it as he fucked yo again and you left not only just you but you and Hudson.  Don’t be so hard on him or yourself.  I think you both need to learn to communicate better and that will take time.”  She picked up Hudson and smiled.  “He looks just like chase I swear! I bet he will be just as hard headed to! Seeing as both his parents are!”

I had to laugh, she was right. We were both head strong and stubborn. So, I packed us a bag and we left with her for the weekend. I held Hudson on my hip as I made my way into the office building, the girl behind the desk glared as I walked past “he’s in a meeting!” She protested. I rolled my eyes “he’s been in one for weeks.” And I pushed the door open harder than intended so it banged into the wall, Hudson giggled loudly and I froze realising he was in a meeting “oh my god.. I’m so sorry!” I stepped back, because when I caught sight of him I panicked. I turned to go back to the elevators

I apologized and got up following her I almost didn’t get to her in time. “Willow!” I said not knowing what she was doing here but fuck I’ve missed her even though she broke my heart. I looked at Hudson and he looked happy. “Why are you here?” I said sadly. “Fuck he has gotten big already.”
