I’m almost ten years older than her! But that isn’t the only reason I should want her, she is my best mates younger sister! I’ve known her my whole life! It wasn’t until I convinced rob to join the marines with me and we came back for her 18th birthday that I saw her in a new way. Then once again when their parents died in the unexpected car crash when I really screwed up. I was drunk and kissed her one thing lead to another and when I woke alone I thought I dreamed it. But I know I didn’t I couldn’t of. She left for college that day and well rob and I went back to our duties. After getting a honorary discharge 5 years later, I’m back home but rob is still fighting over seas. I haven’t seen or heard from her the last thing rob said was she was dating some asshat.

What happens when I see her again but she isn’t alone she has a child about 4 years old.she has sad eyes and looks scared.

“Yeah that must have been hard.” I sighed, and reached over taking his hand “but you have me, and Jack. We’re not going anywhere.”

I smiled. “Good because I’m not going anywhere either.” I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it. “I really care about you both.” I had to let her know I really cared. “It makes me so happy you want to live with me.”

“I think it’s best that we spend time together as a family, getting to know one another. If things don’t work, I’d rather say we tried than just gave up at least.” I said hoping he was ok with this

I nodded not really liking her reasons. “Well then I’ll jist have to make sure we work.” I didn’t get why she thought we wouldn’t. Because I knew we would.

“Oh I’m positive we will work too.” I squeezed his hand “I was going to have sex with you tonight. But it’s probably best that we didn’t.”

I nodded. “I agree we need to slow things down baby.” I was happy she said something because I was thinking of that this evening. “We should focus on us as a family.”

“But I want to focus on us as a couple as well, we can’t kist be together for the sake of him. I want you to fall in love with me and want to be with me because you love me, not because we have a child.” I said quietly. Maybe he wouldnt love me

I wanted to pull her to me but jack was in between us. “Sweetheart, we will. We will learn everything about one another along our way.” I kissed her hand again. “We take things slow but we will get there.” Hell I think I was already there but I didn’t want to scare her.

“If you say so.” I was afraid he wanted Jack more than he wanted me. We barely knew anything about each other anymore and I wanted us to spend time together finding out. “We should get some sleep. I’m pretty exhausted.”

I nodded. “Okay sounds good.” We both held our son and it felt right her hand on him and mine of them both. I loved falling asleep like this. Although I like having her completely to myself too.

“Thankfully his fever has gone.” I said feeling his forehead in the mornin. “How’d you sleep? Because I got none today.” I yawned sleepily.

I hated that she didn’t sleep. “I slept good I was worried about jack and woke a few times making sure he was okay.” I kissed her. “How about you sleep and I’ll make sure jack is good and then I will go on our date if you still want to?”

“Oh I definitely want to” I felt bad “you don’t have to, I can get up with him still.” I said with my eyes remaining closed, I was falling back asleep. “Mm I love you.” And I was out to it without realising what I said

I grinned I knew she probably didn’t mean it but I didn’t care. I leaned down and kissed her “I love you too baby girl!” I kissed her again not sure if she heard butnits okay I’ll tell her again and again. I got jack up and made breakfast for him rob and I while Tess slept.

“Can we go fishing?” Jack asked after coughing some more. “When we go camping. Mum doesn’t know how to fish and ends up getting mad.”

I had to laugh “yes and your mama gets mad cause your uncle taught her.”. I winked at him. “If she had listen to me she would be good at fishing “

“What’s this about fishing?” I walked out, coming up behind him and giving him a kiss. I swear I dreamt that he told me he loves me.

I smiled. “Just that the reason you get mad when fishing is because rob taught you and you didn’t listen to me!” I laughed and pulled her to my lap. “Hungry I can make you something.”

“Hungry for you, but yes I’d love some toast and a coffee.” I kissed him again. “I can fish, it’s just they don’t come to me.”

“She can’t fish.” Jack giggled

I laughed. “I know I remember how she would get mad buddy but I’ll help her when we go camping.” I got up and fixed her breakfast. Sitting down and pulling her back on my lap to eat.

“Yeah, your dad is good at getting the fish.” I agreed, and smiled. “Anyway, I have to shower and get ready to leave. Work awaits me and bills need to be paid.”

I smiled and kissed her before she left. I turned and looked at jack. “So what are we doing today?”

“Can I go see your house? I want to play there daddy.” He asked “and then we can go get candy!”

I smiled. “I have to check with your mum first but if she says yes then I don’t see why not. Maybe not with the candy with you not feeling good.” I was impressed I thought of that.

“Fine” he sighed with a pout “will you marry mama?” I asked, “coz she loves you.”
