I laughed “its ok, my husband can go get me one later.” I grinned “better step up your a game mr cook.” I smiled even more, rubbing his arm.

After my shower, I dressed and tied my hair up, pulling on my warm coat and gloves, I walked down to them “I’m ready when you are.”

I could feel him behind me, and I laid there awake for most of the night. I was tired but couldn’t sleep. I dressed and got up before the alarm went off, making my way down stairs. I hadn’t said a lot to anyone, and lily was very quiet. I looked at her, and asked “are you sure this is what you want? We can take a day or two, if you’re unsure? Because once it’s done, it’s done.” She looked at me, and nodded “I’m ready to go.” And I grabbed my keys, getting ready to leave.

I woke and hurried down the stairs “Wait I want to be there for you lily.” I looked a mess and didn’t care I just needed to be there for her. We all got in the car not a word being said I grabbed chairs hand and squeezed tightly. Knowing today was hard on everyone.

I watched lily and Gunnar talking, and made you way to the receptionist, checking her in. I took the paperwork to fill out and sighed “they have to do an ultrasound before she is taken into theatre.” I said quietly to Tanner.

I nodded. “That could hurt her more she may not what to see the baby.” I watched them carefully. “Did you noticed Gunnar’s knuckles? Something happened.”

“I’m sure something happened to a certain boys face too.” I said mainly to myself. “The ultrasound will be hard, but she seems certain of what she wants.”

I was about to answer her when my buddy approached us. “Hey What brings you here?” I asked.

“Well I was about to ask the same thing but after the call I got about someone beating that bastard and giving him some of what he deserves, then seeing the boy who beat him over with lily I’m sure you can guess.” He shook his head. “I do need to question him but it can wait. To be honest I’m glad he did what he did.”

“It was bound to happen, just question him once we leave, it’s a hard time for them at the moment.” I put the clipboard down and stood. “I need coffee and food.” I said walking down to the cafeteria.

I sighed watching her. “It’s a hard time for us all. We would appreciate it if you don’t do anything today.” He nodded at tanner and agreed. “I’ll give him a couple of days.” He smiled and left. I looked at them both and really wish I could have seen him beat the boy.

I came back not long later with coffee and a meat pie, hungry as ever. “I grabbed you a coffee.” I handed him the cup and sat back down “Do you ever think about the three babies we lost? I always wonder what they would be like.”

I gave a small smile. “I don’t remember much, or are you the one with the memory problem?” I laughed a little at my bad joke. “But after talking with lily last night while you were sleeping I thought about her our daughter that I was so blind to be cruel about. I know she would have been beautiful like her sister and you. She would have been strong and would have had me wrapped around her finger as well.” I hated that I couldn’t remember the others. “It’s hard not remembering that we lost them because I have no memory it makes it harder because I really want to be able to remember them.”

“I wish you could, but in a way you’re lucky or not be able to. It hurts, to know that there’s three of us that didn’t make it.” I said quietly. “I didn’t mean to say what I said last night, I was angry and hurt. I know it’s not fair to throw your memory loss on you.” I took his hand, squeezing hard. “Lily and Gunnar, I’m not sure how we’re going to stop these two from seeing each other, she’ll be staying with him soon and they’ll start a sexual relationship, we need to realise she’s growing up. Her brothers can’t be allowed to spend nights with girls and she be treated differently.”

I sighed. “Your fine don’t apologize it’s okay.” Looking at the boy. “I know we can’t and I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I like the boy, he was going to step up and be there for her, he made that boy pay a little more than any of us had the chance to yet, so I’m good with them being together really I am.”

“She still needs rules while living under our roof.” I said with a laugh, and then noticed lily walking out. “She’s going to need a few days resting after this. She wants to drop out of school too.”

I nodded. “But she is going to be home school still?” I watched him take her in his arms and just hold her while whispering to her, he loved her I could tell.

“Yes home schooled until she graduates. She isn’t dropping out without a degree.” I watched them until it felt strange, and looked away. “You can go and invite him back to our house, I’m sure he would like that.”

As char went to walk away Gunnar approached with lily and asked to come back to ours. “Of course son you can come over. We will meet you back at the house.”

Our drive was quiet, not much said. I was tired still. “Did you know that the four boys want to move out? They’ve been looking at places to rent.”

[Ashwag24]

I nodded. “Yeah I know, our house will be to big when they move out. Maybe we should down size a little. That way we can be closer to the ones still at home.” I said pulling into the drive.

“Downsize?” I rolled my eyes. “No, our home is their home always, I’m not going smaller. And what do you mean closer? I’ve got a very close relationship with all my children.” He made me feel like I didn’t at all.

I smiled. “Sometimes I feel that our room is so far from them that’s all.” Shit I’m so stupid she hat d my idea. “I’m just not ready for any of them to leave

“Our room is so far because it’s meant to be like that. I like our privacy, and the next to ours will be a nursery, so you’ll have a screaming baby soon enough.” I rubbed my stomach “they aren’t moving out until they have jobs, which none do.”

I nodded. “We have a appointment soon don’t we?” I couldn’t wait to see our little one. “This will be hard on lily won’t it, her watching your belly grow with what just happened. She did do the right thing for herself didn’t she.”

[melbender]

“I think she did the right thing, you may disagree and think she made the wrong decision, and it is never an easy one to go through with but she told me her reasons and I fully respect them, if she was dating Gunnar and then she fell pregnant, then I may feel differently, but she doesn’t deserve to have a forced child that would always remind her of that night.”

“I know she told me her reasons and I do get it. It’s just I feel that I have lost so much and I’m being selfish. I owe her and you a apology.” I sighed. “Now let’s get inside and wait for those two to get home.”

“Are we going to let them share a bed? I think if we try and fight them, it’ll backfire and I want her to talk to me, not to sneak around.” I reached over taking his hand. “We have a lot to look forward to, and I think I’d like three more children. We’re losing four, and I’m excited to be pregnant, I want this baby to have siblings his or her age and not be an only child once the others leave.”
