She went to her first party, expecting a fun time. What happened, would leave her with a permanent reminder of that night forever.

He was young, stupid and out for a good time. His friends tell him a girls hot for him in the bedroom upstairs who likes it rough.. Drunk and horny, he fucks her.. Not realising she's drugged, half passed out and mumbling no. He didn't realise what he'd done until it was too late.. So he left, thinking he'd never see her again.

Years later, in a grocery store.. He's back in town and they bump into each other. He doesn't recognise her at first. When he goes to leave, he notices that the little girl beside her has his eyes and it all comes crashing back to him. He wants her.. He wants to be there for his daughter.. The only problem, she has no idea he's the one who done to her all those years ago that left her with a child.

Will the guilt eat him up, making him finally confess?

"Oh not at all. It will be nice to have the company." Gran smiled back. "Come sit, I have a fresh pot of tea ready.. they fell asleep not too long ago. She would always sleep there when something troubled her." She said sadly.

I sighed as we sat for a little while I looked at her. "I'm sorry I think your family has a lot to do with what happened. I can't say they started the fire but I think they are involved and I also think they stressed her out so bad that night she miscarried our child and I blame myself I couldn't protect them."

"It's not your fault. Losing a child is never easy but there will be plenty more to come along." Gran reached over squeezing his hand "my son married an awful woman, and ever since Maddy was born she never liked her.. why would she? She had the perfect daughter already. I'd look into those two, that's my first guess."

I sighed. "I think maddy is the perfect one." I knew she was. "She is the perfect one and doesn't deserve this heartache." I took a sip of tea and gave her a smile. "You had a major part in who she is and I think you everyday. I would never change the fact that we have Emma I just wish I didn't hurt her in the process."

"When she found out she was pregnant her parents threw her out in the rain. She was disowned. It was a shock, maddy was always the one who studied hard and dreamt of becoming a designer.. but that changed when she was pregnant so her grandfather and I took her in and helped as much as possible." She smiled "but I'll tell you this, shes loved that child from the start."

I smiled at that. "So did I before I knew she was mine. She took my favorite chips the first day of coming back here." I smiled at the memory. "I want maddy to achieve her goals still she is so amazing and I want her to do whatever it is that makes her happy. I don't think she realizes that I make a good amount of money plus I have a trust fund that is now mine to do whatever I want with. She is so worried about money and I hate it."

I overheard my husband and gran talking and slowly walked up behind them "I'm worried about money because I have always had to count every single dollar and budget week to week just so I made sure I'd have enough to feed Emma or buy her new clothes. I'm still going to worry as I don't want you paying for everything."

I sighed and stood up Turing. "But what's mine is yours now and I will pay for whatever Emma needs as well let me I need too." She didn't get that I needed it. I understand her ways but she doesn't need to worry anymore.

"I just feel bad." I wished I had the money that was set for me in a trust. "But I will try and let you help us out more if that's what you want."

"It is, and I'm not trying to do it all, we are in this together." I kissed her and looked at grans and smiled. "I picked up dinner for us all figured we could eat and watch a movie together."

I laughed "that's what you always say, let's watch a movie." I grinned loving that about him. "How are you feeling? This must be hard on you too."

I sighed. "The hardest part is seeing you so sad and worried." I said honestly. "Everything else can be easily fixed but the look on your face hurts the most."

I was t do sure it could be fixed. "I'm sad but I'll feel soon hopefully." I sadly smiled. "I just need time to figure it all out."

I smiled a sad smile. "I know sweetheart and I'm here to help any way you need me to." I kissed her and then felt little arms wrap around my legs. "Daddy frozen! Frozen!"

"Oh for the love of god." I groaned laughing. "I am sick of frozen." I was beyond sick of listening to that let it go song. "I wouldn't be bothered if the DVD somehow ended up in pieces." I grinned kissing his cheek as I lifted Emma up.

Laughing I looked at gran and shrugged. We all ate dinner and talked and tried to put what was going on behind us . After dinner I cleaned up while the girls got ready to watch frozen.

After the movie we drove home and I put Emma to bed in ours, I just wanted to be close to her tonight. "Asher." I called out as I slipped into my pyjamas and robe, making my way to the kitchen. "Are you ready for bed?"

I smiled "yeah I was just going over some things the insurance company was asking. It all looks good so I think we are good with that." I got up and walked over. "I love you sweetheart let's go to bed."

"I hope insurance will cover it. At least I know my policies are up to date and that I pay them on time." That was one thing I made sure of. I slid my arms around his neck leaning over his shoulder. "If Emma asks, frozen is broken and she has to watch something else."

I laughed. "How am I suppose to lie to the girl. She is my princess." I held her tight. "Did you really break it? Please say yes so I don't have to tell her I lied."

I laughed "I didn't break it. Just tell her you can't find it which is true, since I have hidden it and I won't reveal the spot its in." I grinned. "Now come to bed. I want your arms wrapped around me."

I laughed. "Remind me never to piss you off!" I wrapped my arms around her as we walked into our bedroom where Emma was sleeping. "Emma's sleeping with USB." I smiled. "I love you."

"I just want her close tonight. I think losing the baby had made me cherish her all the more and what we have." I would still long for the child we didn't have but I was grateful for them.

"I understand sweetheart. ". I just hoped things got better for her and us. Emma was such a great kid and I was so happy for her but the loss of one we both wanted and didn't know hurts.

"Daddy where's frozen?" Emma asked the next morning at breakfast while I slept. "I want to watch frozen. Where is Elsa?"
