The woman looked up. "Yes he is on his office can I ask what you need to see him about?" The woman asked not really giving it a thought.

I came out of my office with my brother in tow yelling at me to get my head out of my ass when I stopped and looked at Lila standing there. "Lila!" I said as my brother stopped and said "thank fucking god! He has been a prick since someone back home!" He said walking by her.

"youre here," I glanced towards the woman "thanks for the help." I said quietly, not meaning it tho. I walked over towards Brody, nervous as hell. "Do you have a moment, I won't take up much time just five or ten minutes then I'll leave you be." I could guess he didn't want to see me after all this time and just leaving

I looked at her. "Yeah sure come on into my office." God she looked so beautiful but she seemed sad. Once in my office I said. "is everything okay?" I sat down and watched her carefully.

I didn't know where to begin. I wanted to say why the hell did you leave without a word but couldn't embarrass myself more than i was about to. "I'm pregnant. It's yours. I just thought you should know, I'm not after anything from you but you have the right to know." I said holding my bag over my lap. "I went to the doctors and they confirmed it."

I was stunned. I didn't say anything for a while. "So your not here because of the letter but your here to just let me know that your pregnant?" I was pissed shocked and happy. "Fuck Lila! I thought we had something! We did have sow thing we made a baby!" I shouted causing her to jump. "A baby!" I said more to myself. "How far along are you? And why the hell didn't you answer my letter damnit?"

"Letter?" I had no idea what he was even talking about. His reaction scared the hell out of me. My heart racing against my chest. "I'm four weeks... look, i'm too emotionally unstable for anything at the moment." I'd lost Wade and then him. I couldn't take losing anymore. I stood up, staring at him "whatever we had, it was just us caught up in a fantasy.. this is reality, i'm pregnant and it's yours."

I shook my head.  "If you want to believe it was fantasy you go right on a head.  I know what I felt was all real.  But you it's obvious you just used me.  And when I ran into your mum a while back and she said you moved right on to some guy at your work she made sure I knew all the details!  So spare me Lila!  I know how I feel and I know my baby isn't going to not know me too!"  I was so happy she was carrying my child but I wish she had feelings for me.  "And don't pretend you don't know about my letter I left it rift in your bag so you would see it right next to your favorite swimsuit!"  That hurt that she acted like I didn't leave a letter.  "I told you how I felt and that I didn't regret anything and once you were home and knew you felt the same to come find me! Sound familiar now"

I clenched my fists, growing agitated. I made a girly grr sound as i came at him "I have no clue what your'e talking about. I never got a letter! i came back, found you gone and that's it! nothing else! Why would i want you gone or just to forget you when i'd told you i didn't care if my family seen us together, i would have made you hide if i did!" i poked a finger into his hard chest "you frustrate me! i came home and waited for you to call and what guy at work? you know my mother, trying to make me look better than i am.. i've been a damn miserable wreck since you just took off.. you.. you made me feel used. you were there to swoop in and make me fall, and then all of a sudden you're gone."

I was shocked. "You didn't get my letter?" I said and she shook her head no. "Then who got it?" Shit I bet her best friend did and hid it from her. "Call your friend I want to know if she did it? If she says no then your sister and then our mum! We are getting to the bottom of this and then your moving in with me!" I said matter of factory I wasn't going to let

I raised a brow "i'm sorry what? moving in? are you kidding me.. you just yelled at me for no reason.. i.." i began to smile "i should file a report on you for being an ass" I pulled out my phone, calling up my friend. She swore she had no idea, and then i called my sister and mother. They both said the same and mum also added she was hurt that i'd accuse her of such a thing. i hung up and sighed "maybe it fell out. but i swear i didn't get a letter."

I sighed and said "I think your mother isn't telling the truth and before you say anything princess remember I'm a cop and I can detect it her voice went up higher when she said no! She lied." I was pissed. "I think we should go and have a face to face talk with her tell
Her the news as well! And you are moving in with me and we are raising our child together!"

"Wait a second.." my head was spinning. I sat down, sighing "You're after something i don't know if i can give.. the last thing i want is to hurt you. Yes i plan on telling my parents and family, but they're not going to be happy.. i mean mum harps on about Wade daily, and his mother calls me.. they're going to be mad."

"No you wait a second I don't give a damn who gets mad! We didn't do anything wrong! He did! Fuck Lila remember that! Now I want you and our child under my roof! But right now I'm taking you to your mothers and we are going to get to the bottom of this letter!" I was pissed about that. "She messed with the wrong cop princess!"

Damn, I hadn't ever seen him so mad before. It didn't help that my hormones were going crazy for him right now. "fine we'll go and talk to her. But once I finish work, I'm on lunch at the moment."

I looked at her. "Work with this guy your suppose to be seeing? I don't like it!" I walked to her. "Please tell me there isn't anyone else princess." I needed to make sure she wasn't seeing anyone. "I haven't stopped thinking of you. In fact every night off I drag my brother to the bars we hit up that first night."

"so you go out cruising for women?" I asked, jealously sinking into the pit of my stomach. "I'm not seeing anybody, and I work with four men, there's other women there. You work with women, and I'm not complaining."

I shook my head. "Lila I couldn't even look at another woman after having you. I meant what I said then and I mean it now. I want you and always will!" I stepped closer and pulls her to me and kissed her. "Your mine now Lila!"

I groaned against his mouth, gripping his uniform tightly "Brody.. Stop.." I pushed away, breathing heavily as I stared into his eyes "keep the uniform on tonight" and I crashed my mouth back against his. God I'd missed him

I smirked. "Ahhhh my girl likes her man in his uniform huh! Good to know. Now you get back to work and take care wait did you eat?" I was so stupid I should have asked that sooner. "If you didn't let's go grab something if you have time."

"No i didn't. i went to the appointment, and then straight here." i felt nervous, because when we walked out of this office everyone was going to know, that we were together. "Brody," i paused my hand on the door "i still need to take things slow, there's still some bad days i have, i just need you to be patient." i didnt want to hurt him. "if you can be ok with that, then i'm ok with us, being together."

I smiled at her. "I'm okay with slow if that's what you need. There is a lot we need to talk about as well. Which we will tonight when my brother and I move your stuff to my house. And before you say no it's also for your protection. That other woman has been watching you and I only know because Brett has been watching you for me. I had to make sure you were safe." I didn't want to scare her but she needed to know. "So you and our baby move in tonight! Now good what would you like?"

"hold up officer" I frowned "you've been watching me? I mean your brother has been! Brody you know that makes you sound crazy right" I smiled, brushing my fingers over his badge "and maybe just a coffee and bagel."

I smiled. "I would never deny being crazy about you!" I kissed her softly and said "let's go." I pulls her hand with mine and walked out my brother talking up one of our late officers wife I shook my head. Then whispered "can we tell him now?" I wanted everyone to know that I was going to be a daddy.

"let's just wait. I need to wrap my head around the news first." I couldn't get fully excited, I just felt anxious and scared... Knowing this will hurt alot of people

I sighed "okay but I don't want to wait to long to tell him he is the only family I had till now." I said and kissed her head. Shit I'm moving to fast probably for her but she has to know that she is now my family.
