Wrong Brother, Right Girl

Lily meets a guy from the city.. He's convinced her after weeks of begging her to come and stay at their family farm for the long holiday weekend and is determined to make it official, stating she's the one for him.. But Rob's led her to believe that he's not the player and jerk he's always been, he's lied about everything and not wanting her to find out, he comes up with a plan, conning his older brother to switch personalities and act like the jerk and player instead.. He agrees thinking its only for 3 days and this is just another annoying girlfriend he's bringing around.. Until he meets her and sees she's not like the others. Can he keep up his act, or will he betray his brother and reveal the truth.

I smiled and nodded.  "They didn but I couldn't look at them I hated it what I did the moment I got off that boat and didn't turn around to go back to you.  Once they came I put them in the closet."  I was so ashamed I walked over and they were still in the unopened package.  I sat down with her.

I nodded going quiet. "I hated you so much for leaving me there, all alone in a foreign country." tears pooled in my eyes as I remembered the note and panic I felt when I realized he'd really left "you broke my heart."

"I intent to heal it and never break it again."  I sighed and pulled her to my lap.  "I was the biggest idiot and I hate myself for it but look at us we are together having a baby girl and home!  I won't ever hurt you again if I start acting like a idiot you have my permission to do what you need to make me see it and let me tell you I'm going to spend our lives loving you and our growing family anything you want whatever time it is you tell me and it's yours!"

I smiled, cupping both his cheeks and looking down at my big belly. "I'd like to go shopping for baby things, maybe tomorrow? we could go to the paint store, and choose out colors." I leant in as far as I could before my tummy got in the way "I just want to be ready for her to come."

I smiled "we can do that. But for now let's relax and sleep, I don't want you to over due yourself tomorrow!" I kissed her nose and smiled.  


The next day we had picked out all the furniture and the bedding now we were standing in the paint aisle trying to decided on the color or colors.  "I like the purple and the light green, what about you?"  I didn't want too much pink.

"Yes, I like those too." I smiled reaching for the shades of green card, "this one is my favourite." I pointed to the mint colour and then a pretty shade of light purple. "And this. Do you think you'll be able to paint after I draw the patten on the wall?" I asked, rubbing the side of my stomach.

I smiled.  "Yes I will and I'll have Marco help too.  I could call Lucas he is talented too he and Marco would hit it off?"  I raised my eyebrows at her.  "I love those colors anything else?"

"Umm no i think thats all." I smiled thinking marco would love him. "We have dinner at your parents tonight, how are you feeling about that? "

"If rather just have dinner with you and then have you for desert, but I guess it will be fine as long as my idiot brother isn't there and if he is he doesn't so much as look at you!"  I hated that he was my brother.

I just smiled "i know, i hate him too. I refuse to even speak to him, and i'm not even wanting him around Harper when she's born." i knew that would be impossible, they were brothers. "Let's get this paint and then we can go home and have a nap before your mums." i was exhausted already.

We laid around then it was time to go to my parents and as we pulled up Marco was already there but I noticed Janes car was her too.  She had already had the baby so hopefully my brother would behave.  "Looks like Jane and the baby are here.  I don't even know what they had to honest.  Does that make me a bad uncle?"

"Not teally" i grinned "they tried to break us up and it almost worked with that divorce paperwork. They're the bad people, not you" i rubbed his thigh and leant in for a kiss, "i love you Ryder."

I smiled.  "Jane didn't have a part in that she is just as innocent for loving such a dumbass."  Maybe it wasn't so smart to defend her but she had to know.  "I think she and you would get along but I will understand if you didn't want to even talk to her since she did end up pregnant while you were seeing my idiot brother."  Man I should just shut up.  "I love ou more and I should stop talking shouldn't I?"  I didn't want her mad I wanted her to relax as much as possible.

I glared at him "yeah you should" i said on the verge of tears "after everything, if you had of just said that to me when we were in that country i doubt i would have come back here" he had rang her and told her off now he was defending her. "Did she stay at the house while i wasnt there?" I asked not looking at him.

I sighed.  "No she didn't stay at our house!  And shit she was defending my brother and wanting his love she rang my momma and told her how wrong she was and she threatened to take the baby and leave but momma wouldn't have it.  She said she couldn't be around him but she would so my momma could have a relationship with the baby and she said loving him gets her into trouble that she felt bad."  I sighed.  "I'm not defending that her part didn't help matters but she has apologized to momma and I'm sure she will to us."  I hated this.  "Lily sugar look nothing and no one is every going to come between us.  I love you and if you don't like it trust her then okay I won't either all I'm saying is if someone can admit they are wrong then it's got to stand for something."

I was getting upset. my hand on the car door "let me remind you about the time you left me. That's what came between us. Then and yeah I'm still mad. Im mad because you're telling me to suck it up and forgive her all because she apologiesed" i got out of his truck to make my wsy inside and couldn't help thinking that everything he promised was a lie just to get me back here.

Fuck!  I was so stupid.  I got out and ran to her before she got inside.  "Lily sugar please stop I'm sorry.  It's just how I was raised and I get it I do I don't want you upset please!  How about we skip this dinner and maybe just us go and have a picnic just us I don't want to be around people that will just upset you and I need to make up my stupidness to you.  Maybe we can walk to the barn and see your horse?"

"We cant skip dinner" i sighed bursting into tears "I'm sorry I'm emotional and angry." I was a mess and upset. Wrapping my arms around him tightly "your mum will be hurt if we just leave. I dont want to upset her."

I sighed.  "You don't ever apologize sugar and she will get over it she knows with them being here it would be hard so I don't think she will be to upset plus I'm more worried about you and Harper!"

I smiled at our daughters name "lets go for a picnic" i agreed "just us and our little girl." Thats all i needed to be happy

I smiled.  "Okay let me run in and get some of my mommas food and let her know I'll only be ainuted unless you wanna come in with me.  Or I could just fab some of the food at our place you tell me what you want?"  I didn't want to say or do anything to upset her.

"I'll come in and say hi to her," I said not wanting to be out here and them think I was rude. We went inside and Rob looked straight at me, his eyes travelled to my belly and then glared at Ryder. I wanted to punch him in the face for all the hurt he caused. "Umm, so we're going to go on a picnic instead." I said quietly to his mum. "if you don't mind?"

I smiled at her.  "Oh sugar I understand let me pack up some food for you three."  She turned and busied herself.

I smiled at how my momma was being with her she cared for lily and her needs which made me happy.  "You okay sugar?"  I whispered and kissed the side of her head.  I felt my brother watching us but didn't care. I really think he has issues.

"Im ok" i smiled leaning against him. "We'll need to get a pony for the baby and you can teach her how to ride" grinning at the thought of him taking our daughter out on the farm.

I smiled.  "Oh I will be!  We can look at some and pick one for her together!  Watch them grow up together too."  I kissed her temple again.  I saw Marco smile.  Then I heard him say.  "Oh momma don't you go forgetting those  croissants for our lily!  Her and the little one love them!"  He winked at me and I smiled.  "Marco is so good for our family too!"
