i smiled. I was so glad they were getting a long and Nate looked as if he was better. I walked out and got into my police cruiser.

As Nate and i got home we unpacked everything, "So what else do you want for dinner? or are you both just meat and potato kind of guys?" i smiled.

i smiled. "Jace loves his veggies so anything will do. I'll stick to my meat and potato!"

"Ok I will make some more veggies then," i said grabbing some more out.

"you know Jace would really kill me if he knew I took my fun out with you here!" I sighed he knew how dangerous they could be.

"Really?" i asked looking at him, "I'm sorry, i can just say you held up your hands and made a fake gun?"

"nah it's okay I'll Explain that I didn't want anything happening to you and he will
Be okay."

"Ok good," i said. "so when do you go back to work?" i asked.

"oh I go back on Monday. I took some personal days considering. I called this morning."

"That's probably wise, you need to have some you time." i said, i felt so bad for him. Tara was awful.

"yeah I do! So um. What happens if Jace gets drafted to go over seas?" I said then noticed she didn't know about that. "Shit you didn't know that he could?"

I frowned, "what does that even mean?" I asked, wondering why he hadn't even mentioned it before.

"ummm I shouldn't have said anything you'll have to ask him. I'm sure he completely forgot about it too."

"Nate tell me!" I said putting my hands over my hips.

[Ashwag24]

"he is going to kill me...okay." I said looking at her. "Only because if I don't you will kill me too. Before we met you girls Jace signed up to go over seas to help with the war. He wanted me to but I couldn't. I have a health condition that says I can't. I'm sorry he didn't know you and he would have if you two had already met. I'm sorry."

I didn't know what to think, "He can get out of it right? I mean he can just take his name off." How could he forget about that.

i shook my head. "He can't. His name will be on it for two years and if they call him he will have to go." I felt so bad. I walked over and hugged her. "They won't call unless they need too."

"but we've only just met, he wants a family and I can't go through that of he's over there," I said sadly. If something happened to him it'd kill me.

"I know Holly I know!" I said rubbing his back. "It will be fine they usually don't call on us unless someone recommended one of us. Don't worry."

I nodded, hugging him tighter and then letting go. "He won't get called, there is like tons of other people. I may have to break his arm by accident so he stays here otherwise," I winked.

i laughed. "You get a arm I'll get a leg!" I said laughing more!"

I laughed louder, "Oh god could you imagine how angry he'd get," I laughed just as the front door opened, "Uh huh Tara's here," I giggled.

i walked in and heard Holly laughing and Nate telling her that it wasn't funny. I came around the corner and seen them. I walked over to Holly and kissed her. "You two stay out of trouble I assume?"

"Of course we did," I smiled but the pain hit my chest when I remembered what Nate told me, "So I have a present for you."

"yeah does it involve you brother leaving for a while and me ravishing you?" I said as Nate scrunched up his face. I laughed.
