I didn’t even know about them until it was too late.” She rolled her eyes. “Anyway, I told everyone to stay out of your room so you’re welcome.” She said sighing “i could just start skipping school and failing classes but no, I have a perfect record because I’m always having to be perfect.”

I shook my head. “Whether or not you brought the drugs yourself which I know you didn’t, you still invited people over who did so there for you are the one to take the blame! I know your not perfect but damnit your my princess and I don’t want something happening to you! You don’t get it and you won’t till your a parent and I’m not guilty you when you have seriously made me disappointed and I never thought you would. No go.” I was done with this and good god what if it wasn’t just the love bite what if she ended up pregnant even if she is on the pill she would be stuck and that would kill her.

I just eye balled my dad and finally rolled my eyes “whatever. Not like I lied and knocked mum up to trap her from having a life.” She muttered under her breath and pushed past him angrily to go finish cleaning. “I’m moving out as soon as I turn 18!” She shouted

Lied to mum is she talking about oh no. Is that what I did. Is that why char is so mad at me. I walked out and once I saw char I felt like shit. I never thought about it the way lily just put it and now that’s all I can think of.

“Oh baby.” I walked over rubbing his shoulders “don’t feel bad, I’m close to kicking her out with this attitude.” I felt bad, he’d don’t all the growling. “She’ll cool off and see she’s in the wrong with what happened and that you’re doing what any parent would do.”

I shook my head. “Char I’m sorry for not telling you I didn’t get snipped.” Was all I could say I knew lily would calm down and wasn’t worried at all about it. She needed me yelling at her. Because is char did and she lost the baby lily would never forgive herself.

“What?” I pulled back looking at him oddly. “Why are you saying that for? I don’t understand..” I said confused. “You’ve already apologised and we’ve discussed this so why are you bringing it up again?”

I sighed. “Lily said it’s not like she lied and kept mum from having a life of her own, it made me feel like shit and I knew I needed to apologize again.”

“She said what?” I asked, and before he could answer me I went into the living room and walked right up to her, grabbing her chin in my grasp “if you ever speak to your father that way again you won’t only get your wish of moving out but I’ll personally pack your shit and throw you out in the morning on your ass. You threw a party, lied to us and had drugs around the house! Take responsibility for your actions sweetheart.” I growled “and I have never once been trapped so don’t you dare talk such lies again.” My voice was loud and my temper soaring “you are grounded, for a damn month and if you want to complain then pack your bags and go! If not, shut up and finish cleaning!” I yelled, and make my way back to our bedroom

I looked at her. “Baby I didn’t want you to do that I would have taken care of it I just needed to apologize to you first.”

“And not she’s got you thinking you’ve done something wrong. She baited you and you fell for it.” I shook my head. “Seriously, toughen up babe.” I turned walking towards the stairs “otherwise I’ll be the one cracking the whip around here.”

I chuckled following her. “Yeah well I was hard on the boys it’s just hard to say no to you and her, she gets that from you, I feel for the lad that Marty’s her he won’t be able to say no too.”

I laughed “oh I know, god help him.” I smiled, starting to put our dirty laundry in the machine. “Anyway, you need to go and watch her, put some of that intimidating sexiness you do to me.”

I cringed. “Not sure I can do that as it’s just for you but I’ll put my daddy pants on and put her in her place.” I leaned in and kissed her. “Love you.”

“Love you too.” I smiled, noticing Lily’s phone had fallen into the wash basket and was tempted to search through it but I sat it aside and left it. “Pass this to her please” I held it out and looked at him when the screen flashed and a guy with a neck covered in tattoos had his arms wrapped around her and they were both smiling. Oh god. “Well I guess this is her boyfriend.”

I looked at it. “What the fuck he looks to be about 30!” I shook my head. “And on drugs.” That’s it I have had it. I grabbed the phone and walked with purpose to get to her. I didn’t know what I was going to do or say. I held the phone up to lily glaring at me. “Explain now!”

“That’s my phone.” Lily said taking it back, her eyes narrowing “you’re going through my stuff?! What the hell dad! You can’t do that!!” She said angrily.

I laughed no that idiot texted you vulgar messages and by the looks of it I can call the cops and put his nasty ass in join for touching you! He’s what 30?”

“Really? You read my texts? My phone is finger prints locked so whatever.” She had tears in her eyes. “Just assume whatever you want. He’s not even 30 and I’m not a child!”

I could hear them both starting to get worked up and dropped the washing to go see what was going on. “Hey, how about we just sit down and talk, shouting and telling isn’t getting you both anywhere.”

I looked at char. “This what ever he is will not be seeing our daughter that’s what is happening. If he does come around his ass will be in jail.” When did my baby grow up to want to be with that? Where did I go wrong did I give her to much.

“His name is Dalton and you can’t stop me from seeing him.” Lily threw the cutlery back down in the drawer. “You don’t get to dictate my life! You and mum aren’t the same age! You just see a photo and assume like you always do! You don’t know anything! You just think you do!” She turned and ran to the stairs.

I jumped when I heard her door slam and sighed “well that went well.” I looked at him, shaking my head. “Let’s just give her space to cool down and I’ll finish dinner.”

I shook my head. “Just so we are clear she is not dating him!” I saw red with what he said and I will get all the enough on this guy I’ll just call my buddy and have him look him up.

“She is almost 18, if we push her I’m scared she’ll be pushed away.” I started chipping up the onions. “Maybe we invite him for dinner?”

I was in disbelief. “Who are you and what have you done with my wife?” I shook my head. “You saw what he said? You saw what he looked like he has to be 30!” I wasn’t having it. “He will not step foot into this house till I get a report on him.”

“No you won’t, I think we just need to sit back and think about this before making any rash decisions.” I didn’t want lily to resent him and take off. “Maybe he just looks older..?” I suggested.

Nate came into the kitchen and grabbed an apple “what’s up? Why’s dad look raging?”

I sighed “don’t worry, can you go and tell the others dinner is ready in an hour.”
