I turned around when the door opened behind me, and I froze. “Gunnar.” I whispered, the colour draining from my face. “I was just about to come and find you.” He probably wouldn’t have believed that but it was true. I then realised I had been holding my stomach, my flowing shirt fitted to my bump. “We should talk.” I said walking back outside to wait for him, my family must think I was crazy, I’d come home and not spoke. To them. I just needed to speak to Gunnar and see what this means for us.

I was just shocked at seeing her I didn’t notice her belly at first. As I got outside I said “well isn’t it nice for my wife to come home.” I looked at her ring on her finger she was still wearing it. I then noticed her bellywhat the? “Lily?” I said not taking my eyes off her belly.

“So turns out we made a baby.” I was waiting for him to yell at me. “I should have called but I’ve been scared, and really sick so I couldn’t fly anywhere, and Tom said you was dating someone, I just didn’t want to ruin anything for you.” I was shaking with fear. “But I’m pregnant and it’s yours, contrary to what you may believe.”

“I’m not dating any.” I said looking hurt. “I um I was actually coming here to find out if anyone knew where you were I was going to go to you.” I stepped closer. “You changed your number I tried to call you.” I stepped closer. “We are married lily I would never date another woman not when I belong to you.” One step closer. “Are you home for good? Why would my brother say something like that? I trying to register what he was saying. “My phone broke, I haven’t gotten it fixed.” Married? We were really married. “I didn’t know if you remembered getting married or if it was even legal.” I whispered, rubbing my hands over my stomach “sick still, but not as bad, and yes.. I’m back to stay.”

Smiling. “You have my grandmas ring still on your ring finger babe, it’s real we are married. Married and having a baby.” I said taking her hand in mine and laying the other in her belly. I was upset but I was happy. “I was able to give you what you needed.”

“I didn’t need a baby to be with you.” I said softly. “You were always enough for me, it’s me that wasn’t what you wanted.” I said looking down at his hands and placing mine over his. “I haven’t even spoken to my parents, you walked in seconds after I arrived home.”

I love you I always have and always will, I’m glad you got to travel, I’ve done good here with helping the boy I wanted to help he is really sick baby really sick.” I leaned down. “I need you to be with me in every way possible. “What if we can’t make it work? I could screw everything up all over again.” I looked up, eyes wide with fear “I don’t want you to tell Tom about our personal life, or even fights.” I blew out a breath “are you still living in the apartment?”

I sighed. “I am” I hated it. “We will work baby because we love each other like nothing else. Trust me babe we are made for each other.” I kissed her hard. “Your mum is going to kick my ass you know that right.”

And it felt like we had never been apart. “Oh she’s totally going to murder you, I’m even fearing your life right now when she finds out we’re already married.” I grinned, wrapping my arms around him. “Are you sure you’re not mad? We haven’t really spoken about babies.”

I looked at her. “I’m a little upset that I hadn’t been there for you but I’m not mad I’m happy.” I said looking up and seeing char watching us. “How about we go talk in the guest house. Maybe talk about the color of the baby’s room?” I hinted wanting to know if she knew what the baby is.

“Oh? I’m thinking a neutral colour.” I said as we walked down to the guest house. I hadn’t thought too much about it. “I haven’t.. Umm, I haven’t been to a doctor yet.” God he must think I was so irresponsible”

I stopped. “Why?” I asked not sure what else to say I mean here my girl is so smart but she hasn’t been to be looked at. “Lily we need to get you in and make sure things are okay.” I sighed. “What if my condition is genetic?” What if I passed my condition onto my baby.

“I was traveling on a bus for two weeks, then a train, I couldn’t go see a doctor. I didn’t even know where to begin to find one.” I looked up at him “this is a miracle baby, I don’t know know if we’ll ever have this chance again, whatever happens, we’ll work through it.”

I smiled. “We will together.” I opened the door and followed her inside. “We need to get you an appointment soon. Do you want to find out if we are having a boy or girl?” I was in shock still but I couldn’t wait.

“I do want to find out, but I kind of don’t. I feel that it’s a girl, just an instinct I guess.” I smiled, noticing everything was the same and set up the way it was left, except his things were gone. Memories of that fight raw in my mind. “Would you like to find out? How are you? Have you had anymore headaches?”

I laughed. “I’d be lying if I said I’ve been good. Because truth I’ve been miserable no headaches just haven’t been sleeping well and I’ve been told I’ve been a dick since coming home from Vegas by a lot of people.” I looked at her belly. “I’m thinking you’re right our baby is a girl but I’d like to wait till the day she graces us unless something is wrong you know.”

“I don’t think anything will be wrong.” I placed my bag on the counter and went to get a glass of water. “I haven’t slept, I need to take a shower. I just look a hot mess right now.” I could only imagine. “When do you go back to work?”

I looked at her. “Hot yes but no mess I see only beauty. And well my client is hospital bond so I don’t really need to go back the other trainers can pick up those other people.” I just wanted to spend time with her.

“Ill have to sign up for those pregnancy fitness classes, I crave chocolate milk from the carton and coke with extra ice all the time.” I laughed, with a slight blush. “Well maybe if you don’t have to rush back, you could stay here for a bit longer?”

I nodded. “I can.” Did she not realize we are married which means I’m not staying a night away from her. “Lily we are legally married I have our marriage license and even if we weren’t you are wearing my grandmothers ring.”

“I keep forgetting about that part, I mean not that we’re married, but that you’re my husband.” I smiled coyly. “Does that mean I get all the privileges a married woman gets?”

I smiled. “Oh of course you get whatever you want “ I smiled and pulled her to me. “ it right now I want to get what I want and that’s your lips on mine your tongue tangled with mine.”

“‘Maybe we should have a shower.” I winked, wrapping my arms around his neck. “Is it safe to.. you know?” I asked not sure if we could or not. “I want to so bad.”
