I laughed “its ok, my husband can go get me one later.” I grinned “better step up your a game mr cook.” I smiled even more, rubbing his arm.

After my shower, I dressed and tied my hair up, pulling on my warm coat and gloves, I walked down to them “I’m ready when you are.”

I sighed. “Surprisingly the baby is alright, they did a scan to make sure. I’m so sorry baby.” I said before I started to cry like a fucking baby.

“Oh sweetheart.” If I could move I would have climbed into his lap. “I love you, please don’t cry” I whispered, holding my hand out and rubbing his cheek then stroking through his hair as he came closer “I’m ok, bruised and bartered but we’re ok.”

I sighed and kissed her. “I was able to get to lily before she got tot he house but not you. I tried to cal fuck I tried baby I’m so sorry. I love you but I made sure this time baby I about him in between his eyes and then again and agin”

I winced at the thought of him being shot so many times but I was relieved. “I love you. Thankyou.” I smiled weakly, and kissed his forehead “he was already at the house waiting, I’m so glad lily wasn’t there.”

I groaned. “Son of a butch I am so sorry.” I looked at her bruises and kissed her gently. “God I’m sorry.” I hated that he hurt her. “What did he do to you? You have bruises everywhere baby?” God I hope he didn’t try to rape her.

I felt the tears come up and I shook my head “he punched me in my mouth, and kept slapping me across the face. He gripped my wrists and shook me until I fell then just kept kicking my stomach, everywhere he could get. Then I remember him in my face saying how he was going to make you suffer and I passed out. I thought I was going to die. I couldn’t breathe.” I cried, curling up on the bed.

I got up and sat on her bed pullingnher to me. “I’m so sorry I didn’t get there sooner baby.” I kissed her head over and over as I held her not wanting to let go the fact that she and our baby was still alive was amazing a true miracle.

I pulled his arm around me tighter, holding him close “Just hold me.” I whispered, letting the tears fall. “How are you? Are you doing ok?” I looked up, resting my forehead to his. “You saves my life again.”

I leaned in and kissed her.  “I almost didn’t I was scared . I saw you laying there lifeless and was so scared. I brought you here cause I knew I would be faster and I haven’t left your side.  I love you I’m so happy your okay and our baby is okay.  I’m sure the kids want to see you.”

“I’m guessing I look pretty bad, just make sure they know I’m ok” I hated to think what they would think seeing me. “I can leave soon right?”

I shook my head. “They was to Lee you all night to observe the baby as precaution.” I kissed her. “I love you so much baby I’m so sorry for all this.” I was about to beg for forgiveness when there was a knock on her door.

“I want to go home.” I whispered, sitting up slightly with a wince.

The doctor walked in with a smile “Mrs Cook, you’re awake. Good to see.” He came over with the ultrasound machine and sat down beside her. “Let’s check this baby out and see how things are going.” He smiled, squirting the gel on her stomach. “How are you feeling?”

“Tired, sore but I’m ok. Eager to go home.” I laid back, watching the screen.

He smiled “I see, well you’ll be home tomorrow..” he paused and smiled more “I see she is doing well, kicking with a strong heart beat.”

“She?” And soon I had forgotten about the pain, as I stared in awe at our little girl moving on the screen.

I smiled and grabbed her hand. “I knew from the other scan but wanted to see your face light up when he told you.” I squeezed loving her so much. “We finally got ourselves another girl!” I kissed he rknowing she was happy.

“We do.” I smiled. “Another girl. I can’t believe it. I’m so happy.” I really was, and then I poked him “you knew! You should have told me.” I laughed, jokingly. “It doesn’t matter, I would have been happy with a boy but I’ll admit I’m really happy it’s a girl.”

I smiled. “Me too seeing as our little girl isn’t a little girl anymore.” I kissed her. She was happy I was happy. “She is strong too, she took some kicks but I’m sure she gave him the finger.” I smiled kissing her.

Lily and Gunnar walked in and I was pleased to see them “oh Thankyou, you both didn’t have to get me-“ I lifted the lid and grinned “oh but I am glad you did.” I smiled “I love them, Thankyou both so much.” I glanced at the time and frowned “you have prom to get to, I don’t want you missing it, don’t even think of not going because of what’s happened. I want to see my girl all dressed up.”

I smiled.  “Your mum is right baby girl, because we won’t get this chance again with your sister till she is in her senior year.”  I smiled bigger knowing she wouldn’t miss it.

I was already taking a cupcake from the box eagerly “smells so good.” I said, biting into the icing. “If you go, then I would love that. I just think you should go to something like this, you’ll regret it otherwise.”

I nodded. “Baby can I have a bite of that?” I knew she wouldn’t share she never shared her sweets.

I raised a brow looking at him “Are you pregnant and sitting in a hospital bed?” I questioned, then handed over the one I had already bitten into “boxers aren’t meant to eat this much sugar.” And I pulled it back, grinning as I bit into it again.

I looked up when the door opened and in walked lily.  “Wow lily!” She was beautiful.  She didn’t looomlike our little girl she looked like a woman.  “Your gonna knock Gunnar dead.”

I grinned “he’s going to have a heart attack, you’re gorgeous.” As much as it hurt, I sat up and turned getting out of bed, much to tanners protests “please get out while I help my daughter get dressed for her prom, I mean it.. I’m not taking no for an answer when I’ve waited so long to see my beautiful girl get dressed.” I breathed slowly.

I shook my head. “Fine but lily if she is over doing it make her sit!” I kissed them both telling lily she looked beautiful again and walked out to wait for Gunnar.

I helped her dress, and the dress was stunning “I think your dad may not like this slit in the dress. Try not to make it show when you walk around him.” I smiled, standing back to take her photo. “You look beautiful lily, tonight you can stay with Gunnar,@ I saw her eyes light up and she hugged me tightly, I ignored the pain in my ribs holding her back “I’ll go get daddy.” Opening the door a little I saw him with Gunnar who was in a suit looking handsome. “She’s ready.” I pushed the door open more for them to see her.

Lily was definitely not a my baby girl anymore . She was a beautiful woman and I was just looking at her with proud in my eyes she was smart and had a lot going for her and by the looks of it the man standing beside me saw it too. I nudge Gunnar.
