After my shower, I dressed and tied my hair up, pulling on my warm coat and gloves, I walked down to them “I’m ready when you are.”

“I’m not sure how I feel about this. My only worry is that she’s too young and I know she’s a very mature girl for her age, but she hasn’t lived Tanner. I don’t want her to give up all her dreams to play house. She’s not even 18 yet, and I do really like Gunnar, he’s a sweet and loving boy. I’m just unsure.” I confessed, kneeling down to re swaddle Lenny

I sighed. “I think she will stay on track char she is smart and she is a very determined girl like her mother. I think we are worrying over nothing. When she talks to us then we set some rules still, and see from there.” I knew how she felt but I’ve been thinking more about it and I think it would be good for her.

“What’s happened to you? You used to be so angry and boss daddy. You’ve relaxed a lot more.” I was shocked by his response. “Should I ask for two more babies before you close up shop? Maybe a night away and shopping spree?”

I laughed. Walking over with her plate. “You my dear can have anything you want!” I kissed her. “Here let me take him while you eat.” And I have changed I didn’t want to be that guy I was anymore I wanted to be more for my family.

I looked at her. “I’m beyond upset and I know I owe you some answers but I can tell you what they showed you at the hospital isn’t what happened. I was upset and yes at first I thought maybe you and James but I squashed that I knew you both wouldn’t do that to me. My sister got in my head and I let her for a little bit I swear I was on my way back to the hospital when I wrecked I was coming to tel you I love you and that I was sorry.”

I nodded, quiet a moment as he spoke. “Your sister is a toxic person, she takes advantage of people at their lowest, she always has done.” I couldn’t stand her. “Your mum, is just as bad. I don’t want them around our children or in our home again.”

I nodded. “You and I both. I’m so sorry that, it all happhappened Ned I was a jerk and I can’t take what I did back but I want to make up for it. I love you, I love our life and I know you wouldn’t never hurt me that way.”

“Oh Gunnar has a headache she left.” He shrugged “anyway, she will be around later on to bring my car back and take hers.”

“How did you get home?” I asked curious.

He grinned to himself, shrugging “just the future Mr Cook dropped me off.”

My head snapped to him and then over to Tanner as he spluttered his coffee.

I sat there in shock. “What the hell just happened!” I mean he was now talking to a guy who was Gunnar’s friend lily wants to travel the world. “You think she wants to ask about that and not move in with Gunnar?”

“Who knows, I don’t know anymore.” I sighed shrugging “I don’t know how I feel about that though, travelling the world? She’s not even legal to do anything except drive.” I groaned laughing “you have coffee in your top, I think you should take it off slowly for me.”

I laughed. “Your funny Mrs cook!” I stood slowly taking my top off. “Like what you see?”

I raised a brow and rolled my eyes “down boy, we don’t have time for a shower because we both know how that’ll end up.. I have jobs to do, and we need to take a drive.”

I poured. “We can make it fast!” I said hearing the door open and shit. “Lily?” I whispered to char wondering if she had the strength for this.

“You’re never just quick.” I reminded. “I love you.” I glanced over when I saw lily and Gunnar walking in, both looked happy. He kept going down the hallway, as lily came over “Hi, what do we owe the pleasure of this visit for?”

Lily’s heart raced, nervously as she sat on the couch opposite her mum and dad “Umm so I wanted to talk to you.”

“Yes?” I had a feeling I knew what she was going to ask.

“I’d like to move in with Gunnar, perminately.” Lily asked with nerves. “I’m going back to school soon, amd it is closer.. it makes sense-“

She was going to hate me. “No. You’re 17, and I think it is too soon. You can wait until you turn 18, and then we will talk about this again.”

Lily looked shocked, not expecting that. “Dad?”

I was shocked as I looked at char. I looked at lily not knowing what to do or say. Lily looked as if she was going to cry and char looked like she wasn’t going to change her mind. “Lily let us have some time to talk about it, I’m not saying we will change our mingle but let us at least talk about.” I hoped I did right to keep the peace with all of us.

“This is so unfair, why can’t I move in with him? Mum!” Lily asked with tears in her eyes.

“I’m not doing this to be mean, but you’re 17. Just because your boyfriend has his own place doesn’t mean you can just move in, and disregard our house rules. I don’t appreciate your lying.. you never told us you were pregnant again.. We heard that from your brother, and as your parents, you’ll respect our decision. You may stay with Gunnar Friday nights and one day through the week, but I would like you home more than you are. You don’t come and go as you please, you have chores and responsibilities at home which you will continue to do so.” I wasn’t giving in, she could hate me all she wanted.

I sighed. There goes the peace. “Lily what your mum is saying is what I’m going to stick with, it’s only a few more months and you both just got back together.” I hated how that sounded. “But you can’t move in till your 18.”

“You’re kidding me!” Lily stood with annoyance “how can you take her side! You was going to agree to it, this is bullshit dad and you know it!” She turned storming off.

I watched her walk outside, and I knew he didn’t agree with me. “Go on, say it.”
