I got out of the shower and walked to her room still drying my hair with the towel. I was only wearing boxers. I knocked and walked inside "i'm going to bed, got an important meeting in the morning." I walked to Lenny and kissed him softly "he looks like an angel"

A week later, i sat in my office waiting Ava to come in with the new designs.

I was chatting with Stu on my way up to Zachs office, smiling about the designs as they printed up better than I expected. Lenny was asleep in the baby sling, as I couldn’t leave him just yet, and I’d agreed to do a couple hours here and there so I didn’t go insane. I knocked on Zachs door, saying goodbye to Stu “that’d be amaizng, Thankyou!” I said as he called out he was grabbing me a coffee. I turned to Zach and held up the poster “what are your thoughts?”

"These are amazing! Who were you thanking?" I glanced at Lenny and saw he was fast asleep.

“Oh just Stu, he’s grabbing me a coffee. Turns out weve both worked for a few of the same companies and went to college at the same place. We’re bonding over that.” I shrugged “hows your day going? Working hard and kicking ass?”

"Huh, i don't remember stu going to college with us" i shrugged "anyway, i love the posters, and the company we're working with is going to love them. You did a great job considering everything"

“Thankyou.” I was relived he liked them. “Your baby love’s to sleep, he’s barely made a noise.” I said and hesitated. “Umm well I should get back, I’ll probably stay another hour and then head back to the apartment.”

I smiled and nodded kissing her cheek "let me know before you leave. And i've already started working on your office. I'll have a crib in there too"

“Office? People will start thinking I’m getting special treatment.” I stood up, rocking side to side and smiling down at our son “that will bring some sense of relief knowing he can sleep here though so Thankyou.”

"They can think whatever they want i don't give a fuck about that. I just want you and our baby to be confortable"

“We are comfortable.” I assured him “I’m settled and happy, and making work friends so that’s nice.” I checked my watch and stared to walk towards the door “I’ll see you after work tonight?”

"Of course. Where would i go but home to you two?" I smiled "have a good day sweetcheeks"

I ran into Stu on our way towards the elevator and he handed me a chai latte “thought you’d like this, I sort of didn’t ask what you wanted.” I took and sip and moaned “yum! I like these a lot, I’ll bring you one tomorrow.”

“Mmm I smell romance in the office!” Alicia giggled dropping files into Zachs office and leaning against his desk with her leg up revealing The top of her lace stockings. “Your baby mama and Stu are heading out on a date! Tara overheard them earlier in the office planning a trip to the park.”

I looked at her leg and up her face "get off my desk right now Alicia." I said getting up and heading out. I stopped the elevator before it could go down and went in with them "where are you two off to?"

I looked at him oddly, “nowhere... I’m working for another hour and then leaving.” Did he not hear me before? “I was going by the park, but that’s about it.”

I looked at Stu raising an eyebrow "are you going at the park too by any chance?"

“Ahh” He was suddenly nervous. “I mean, I was just over the road at the park grabbing coffee and lunch but that’s about it.” He said and grinned “did you want a coffee also? Happy to grab you one.”

"Don't play smart with me Stu! You know better than that!" I looked at Lenny who was still asleep and lowered my voice but was still intimidating "you stay away from Ava and don't get any ideas. You hear me?"

“Zach.” I said, with a eye glare. “What are you doing?” I said with a lowered but angry voice “you don’t have the right to do that.”

[Demona]

As soon as the elevator opened Stu rushed out and i caught Ava's hand before she could leave as well and pressed the last floor button.
"I don't want you seeing other guys"

“Are you kidding me? Who are you to tell me what I can and can’t do? You don’t seem to think of me with all your women you’ll date and the one you love. I’m not telling you what you can and can’t do!” I snapped. “So because I have your baby I’m meant to remain single forever?”

I cupped her face shutting her up with a kiss. At first she didn't kiss me back but i forced my tongue inside her mouth and kissed her passionately "Ava Green, you're the only woman i've ever loved, and will ever love" i rested my head against her forehead " i want nothing but to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you be my girlfriend?"

“Girlfriend? I told you I loved you and you told me no.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. “I’m sorry but how can you do this to me? Now of all times.. do you have any idea how hard it’s been, trying not to love you.. trying to force myself to be ok with just a friendship.. I’m not a toy Zach.” Tears we’re down my cheeks as I heard the elevator ding and the doors opened, “you broke my heart once..” I whispered and turned rushing out the doors and to the city street

"Fuck" i ran a hand through my hair and followed her out catching her "wait, please hear me out! I never meant to hurt you, and i just wasn't ready i was afraid of messing it up and then loosing you for good"
