She moves home, months later finds out she’s pregnant and doesn’t tell him.. and as her marketing business takes off, they unexpectedly reunite when she’s been hired at his firm for a job and when she walks into the meeting, he finds out he’s going to be a father just before she gives birth.

“Smells amazing as always.” I called out, my stomach grumbling. “Do you just want to eat out here?” I asked, picking up Lily and placing her in the swinging cradle.

Smiling like old times.  “Yes  what can I get you to drink babe.” I stopped mid reach where did that come from?  I have never gave a girl a pet name.  I waited and waited for her to say soMerging.

Babe? I waited for him to correct himself but he didn’t. “Just water is ok Thankyou.” I mean, what else was I meant to say to that.

I sighed and let out the breath I was holding okay so she is ignoring what I said okay I can do that to. I grabbed our waters and pizza with some napkins. I shouldn’t know where anything is in this kitchen but I know Sarah so I find everything easy. I sit the pizza and water down and sit next to her maybe a little to close but it’s how we use to do things and I miss it. I miss her.

“I’d forgotten what this tastes like.” I admitted “I bloody missed it that’s for sure” there was nothing better than pizza. “We used to get this probably three times a week at times when work was busy.” I smiled remembering

Smiling. “Well then I’ll just have to make it a tradition that for the rest of our lives we eat pizza at least three times a week and not just any pizza but this pizza.” I meant it for the rest of my life I will treat her to pizza and spoil her and lily. But her statement next made me feel like she thought it was a joke so I added. “I like the way it sounds and I’m serious I spoil you to three dates a week of pizza and movies for the rest of my life.”

“Oh I’m sure your girlfriend wouldn’t appreciate that.” I laughed, he’d for sure have to be dating somebody. There’s no way he was single

I laughed. “Didn’t know I had a girlfriend, besides I um-“ I scratched the back of my neck. “Um it’s been only my hand since you and I don’t think my hand will mind.” I couldn’t look at her in fear that she wouldn’t believe me.

“What?” There was no way he was serious until I saw that he was serious. “Ohh.. I just assumed.” So he was single and not with anyone. “Well that’s probably a good thing, means you can be around for lily more.”

Meaning she didn’t want me around for her I blew it. “I will always be here for lily and you.” I said before getting up to get more water. I hurt her so bad and I was an asshole for doing what I did.
