After my shower, I dressed and tied my hair up, pulling on my warm coat and gloves, I walked down to them “I’m ready when you are.”

I nodded, “Baby go I’ll stay here and call James he can help me figure it out. Just be with our boy.” I kissed her and as I went to run up I heard Gunnar. “He is okay let him in.” I yelled. Taking the stairs two at a time. “Lily, sweety!” He door was locked. “Open up Gunnar is here with me.”

I took Lenny, because no one else had boobs to feed and I couldn’t leave him. I drove as fast as I could, knowing I went through a red light. The hospital everything was a rush as I filled out paperwork and spoke to the police more. I tried to call Tanner but his phone rang out “he’s going into surgery, they think the bullet his his spinal cord” my words choked up “I’ll keep you updated” I sobbed and hung up.

I checked on the kids and then called James as I hung up I saw I had a voicemail listening to it I broke down. This can’t be happening, he has his whole life his soccer oh god. I called char. “Baby, James is on his way but I need you to tell me. Is it possible that the kid is yours? If so I need a name.”

“What are you talking about? What kid?” I was confused. Was his brain still unwell? “No! Our kids would never shoot anyone Tanner and they were all home when he answered the door, why would one open the door to shoot his brother! That person who done this is a sick twisted disgusting human who deserves to rot in hell.” I said angrily. “Why would you think I had another son? You’re the father to all my children, I’m pretty sure I would know if there had been others.”

I sighed. “Calm down Baby the boy said he was your son and that you killed his father. He looked a lot like the boys baby and lily. Could that bastard of somehow did something and you not know?” God I hated asking but I had a feeling that what he said was true.

“Maybe he is the evil spawn of your bitch of a sister! Screw you for even thinking I have another child! He shot my son and you’re accusing me of having a secret baby!” I snapped down the phone and hung up on him.

I sighed. Calling her back surprised she answer d. “That’s not what I’m doing, he shot our son baby, and if he somehow is yours then he is mine too! Now stop getting worked up we have a baby to protect. I love you and I will be there soon I’m just going to help James then I’m coming. Please don’t take things I’m saying like that I’m not mad I’m upset that our son’s life is changing right now.” She didn’t say anything. “I love you I’m going to hang up now James is here.” As I got off the phone worried about her worried about Finn. Damn. I filled James in and he was going to talk to some of his buddies and see what they can find as I was heading to the hospital still with no word on Finn since he went into surgery.

I was sitting in the waiting room with a chai latte, rocking a sleeping Lenny in the pram. Thank god he was passed out. Looking up I spotted Tanner and gave him the cold shoulder after our phone conversation. Well I tried to, it didn’t work. “They don’t know if he will walk again.” I said quietly.

I sighed and pulled her to me my eyes red and I didn’t know how to do this. “Have they given you other updates how much longer will he be in surgery?” I kissed her head not wanting her made at me

“A few more hours, it’s bad and they’re trying to stop the bleeding.” I hated him so close, the smell of him. It was home and what I needed. Closing my eyes I leant in and rested my cheek against his chest, holding him tightly. “The boy is confused. I haven’t had any other children. I know I haven’t..” I pulled back frowning and instantly feeling sick “have- have you?”

I shook my head. “No baby I haven’t, the boy said yet wife’s kid. I’m just wondering if your asshole ex didn’t some how get your eggs and freeze them to make a child. I know it sounds crazy but there have been times you were out for days he could have done anything to you.” I was getting pissed as I talked. “I know if you had another child before me you would never abandon it and I know if you had a child you would have told me about him or her, I’m not blaming anything on you please see that, I’m just trying to understand why he would say that and it’s like he knew! He knew things about your ex.”

“My ex was a lunatic.” I reminded. “He cheated on me every chance he got, maybe one of them had his baby but there is no way that kid is mine. You find him and take care of it.” I was giving full permission to do whatever he had to.

I nodded. “I got James and some guys from the station looking into it. I love you char and we will help our son with whatever he needs after this.”

“He won’t play soccer again.” I said quietly. “He’s going to be gutted.” I looked up at him and gripped his shirt tightly “stop being so damn hot.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “I’m only human baby, and we don’t know he may walk and play again.” I sighed and get my phone buzz. I pulled it out and saw James. “It’s James.” I kissed her head and answered. “We got him, he turned himself in, I asked for a dna, Tanner- the boy looks a lot like yours and he looks like char. This is going to distory her. He said his dad and his dads girlfriend raised him because chad didn’t want him and his girlfriend couldn’t have kids.” I sighed in the phone. “I’m glad he is in custody call me with the results as soon as possible.” I hung up and looked at her I knew she heard.

“Don’t say it.” I felt sick to my stomach. “He isn’t mine. There’s some mistake.” I felt violently ill as I fell to my knees and grabbed the bin, throwing up. There was no was this was real.

I sighed and kneeled beside her rubbing her back. “Shhh it’s okay baby I got you.” I hated this I hated that she felt this way. “I love you baby, I love you so much.”

Cheeks. “I told you something bad happens every time I fall pregnant.”

I sighed. “I’m not sure about that let’s make sure Finn is okay then we can go down and talk to this boy.” I kissed her head. “How does that sound? We can take Lenny to lily and she can watch him for a little.”

“Ok.” I whispered, wiping my mouth as I felt sick again. But tried hard to push it away. “Our kids look like you, maybe he’s Taylor’s and this is her plan to get back at you.” I sighed not thinking as I said it out loud.

I sighed. “Maybe, we will found out soon they are found the dna rest and putting a rush on it.” I kissed her head. “Let me get you a mint and some water. I’ll be right back.”

“A mint? How romantic” I laughed “they’re in my bag.” I pointed to it hanging over the edge of the pram. “My coffee is empty. I need another. Want one too?”

I nodded. “Sounds good.” This waiting sucked I want d to know how my son was and I wanted to know who this other kid was. I got her mints and handed her one when she sat back down from getting our coffee. “Thanks babe. I wish we knew something!”

“You and me both.” I linked my arm through his and sighed “I love you so much, all I have ever wanted is for our children to be safe and protected. I feel like I’m failing at that”. I hated it. “I would do anything for them, and you.” I let the tears fall silently. “This boy, he may have similarities but I know in my heart my only children are the ones we have together.”

I sighed. “Our children will always be our children.” I held her and then seen the doctor come out he started to talk I heard he may not ever be able to walk only Time will tell but he will survive . I held char and cried our boy will be okay.
